Lil Portal Lock

So I'm in a great run on my way heading up to knock out a beast kill when Lil Portal has no choice but to spawn a portal on the skinny bridge leading to an item room. Okay, no big deal I thought but the portal takes me to the item room. I don't have flying, I don't have any other option to move. I'm just stuck. I've played a lot of Isaac in my day with a lot of annoying things ruining my runs but I have to say this is the most irritated I've been in a while. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or am I completely out of luck?

Enable console and give yourself a fool card.

Happened to me too, but it spawned a portal right in front of the door and I could only leave because I had enough speed to get to it before the "trapdoor cooldown" ran out.

I was already avoiding that thing when I could, this is not good advertising for it. One of the worst unlocks in this dlc I can think of.

It allows you to get into boss challenge rooms, secret rooms, curse rooms for free and you can make a permanent exit from Mom's boss room with it. It's a weaker teleport 2.0 that doesn't take up your active slot.

Thanks buddy. I have about one thousand hours in this game and even when stupid stuff happens like getting randomly teleported to an I AM ERROR room messing up the Mother path I just accept it as bad luck and transition to another run type that I don't need. But while I get screwed in what I was aiming to do, I've never been completely banned from playing the game. (Unless you count suicide mechanics happening randomly.)
