the shadow of mom's foot can sometimes hurt you, which is literally impossible to dodge.
delirium can still spawn on top of you, which is literally impossible to dodge.
delirium can spawn a few pixels next to you, and then shoot straight away which instahurts you, which is literally impossible to dodge.
delirium can transform into death, spam hourglass 10 times until you basically can't even move, and then transform into something like chub which moves from one side of the screen to the other in under a second, or mom's foot, making it literally impossible to dodge when you can't even move from all the hourglass slowdown.
towards the end, some bosses move so fast that even without any player slowdown, they are still literally impossible to dodge even with 2 speed and 0.0000001 second reaction time.
killing segments on bosses such as hollow/larry drops hearts and makes the music stop.
and those are only just the one's I've personally encountered.
beating delirium mostly comes down to luck and hoping bugs don't happen.
tainted lost is basically "I hope you can kill the boss fast enough before it has a chance to bug and instakill you"
I'm surprised I even got to kill him this many times/it only took me roughly 10 attempts with T.Lost.
Second, if you can get your hand on a I'm drowsy pill the fight is made easy. Also works with the stop watch.
During the fight, there is also some kind of interaction when he gets into a worm. You can damage him very heavily if you have piercing, like 50% of the health instant.
Other than than, move all time and try to learn the bosses patern as Delirium is just a copycat of all of them.
GL.
But it simply isn't too applicable if the boss (even with a slow!) nyooms at light-speed or produces, literally, undodgable scenarios.
The amount of (Afterbirth+) Lost attempts I needed at this asshat wasn't even funny.
Yeeeeeep... And they buffed it even more. For whatever reason. Like it was already pure rng nonsense boss before as well. Super spammy with overlapping attacks, constant teleporting and immense amount of HP. And health scaling
They still decided to buff it tho and make it even more spammy and unpredictable now and I'm like "Why?"
It's a complete nonsense, just a joke of a boss. A bad joke
It's not even original, because it just copies other bosses from the game, lol.
Bosses that can also spawn their own enemies, so that's great
Like, they literally didn't care about anything when they were designing this piece of trash. Just use every boss you saw in the run and also fill the screen with bullets. With 0 pattern or telegraphing. Have fun!
Also, not to forget the fact that there are literally physically unavoidable attacks. If you're unlucky, a mom's foot can transform into a different boss while it's tracking you (while the shadow is above you) so you take instant damage. Because the transformation is instant, and since Bosses have a wide hitbox, you will get hit. Unless you have Book of Shadows or Algiz rune active at the time
That's been an issue since Afterbirth+ came out. But they didn't fix it... And it's even worse now because Delirium is 10X more spammy than before. So yeah. You better pray while doing Delirium as Lost or Tainted Lost. Or Tainted Eden lol
And that's just one example. There are so many unavoidable attacks
And I am just coming off of a Delirium fight as well. But I lost. I was Tainted jacob but I had curse of the lost in the void... so I couldn't find Delirium, and by the time I found it I was already in the Lost form. I even had the holy mantle. I had a super OP build too. one shotting bosses and clearing rooms. But no. While I'm dodging the nonsense bullet storm, Delirium literally teleports on me and transforms into the red angel and pushes me into the corner, instantly deleting my holy mantle and killing me, because holy mantle gives no i-frames anymore basically lol
So that was so much fun
