Room types that need to be removed in Repentance
*Any room with spikes, fires, or hazards directly in front of the doors. I understand punishing careless players, but to trap entryways is an extremely cheap method of ticking health off of players that are moving faster than a comatose snail.

*Unavoidable damage rooms. Extremely tight hallways with enemies that need more room to be played with, excessive amounts of enemies in cluttered rooms, etc. There's hard situations where you need the skill and experience to make it out unscathed, and then there's just actual bs.

*Completely useless secret/super secret rooms. That black poop SSR? Please get rid of it.

Just my opinion of course, but these room types plague the game and tilt it deeper into the curse of "luck > skill" that's made it not that fun to play since AB+.

No issue with Secret Rooms as I will always find a bunch of pennies and rare times I will find an item but that black poop SSR is just BS, it just offers zero reward for finding it

That one room in the chest with the pink poops covering the doorways can go ♥♥♥♥ itself forever. It's never actually ruined any runs but I hate it anyway.

Yeah absolutely, I've not really lost any runs to these room types but they're extremely annoying and just irritate me.

I wasn't asking to remove SR/SSR's, only the completely useless ones. I get that black poop room like every other day, man.

There are some rooms in Scarred Womb where all creep is deliberately hidden. I don't care how flavorful it all is, those need to go too.

the new characters being added (if any) should be actually fun and unique, not just challenge characters

we already had the lost, then the keeper

Well, Lost without the Holy Mantle is rubbish, impossible to work with. But, with Holy Mantle it is not only challenging, but also fun to play. Different strategy, no HP, but a lot of compensation - flight, spectral tears, free devil deals.

Now Keeper, that's just pure garbage. They should have remade him before the release. Besides damage, all stats are just terrible. You have to unlock his starting items playng as the Keeper, and those starting items are garbage as well. Nothing can balance out his obnoxious tear delay, not even Tech X. He can not take soul hearts. He can not take half damage. By default, he can not have more than two "heart" containers, which means - two hits and you are done (happens all the time, even powered up in late game, unavoidable damage) AND you can not take two heart devil deals by default. You can't take damage in order to get a devil deal, usually pass that devil deal, and not take damage on the next floor and hope for an angel room. All that with 28 tear delay and 0.85 movement speed to start with.

Even with swallowed penny, you can easily die, because you have to grab that penny first. To make a successful run you usually have to break the game. And even then, victory is not a sure thing. That is not a challenge. That is unbelievably garbage execution of an interesting idea, making it frustrating experience every time I have to collect his post-its in a new save file.

Yeah completely agreed but Keeper was already getting a rework last I heard. I hadn't heard any news about room types being changed and wanted to share my piece on it while we're waiting.

Exactly! Things like this are such utter BS that it's removed any skill factor from the game, you just need to become god-tier by Caves 2 or you may as well hold R.
