I can't buy Repentence?
Am I missing something? I have the core game required, but the store page doesn't even give me a buy option.

you need both afterbirth and afterbirth+ to be able to buy it, because they are required.

its not same as antibirth people, where its only rebirth and antibirth mod, repentance needs afterbirth and afterbirth+ changes, booster packs, items and characters.

I understand yout statement. What I don't understand is how this is a thing. This is, what, DLC for DLC? I'm literally not allowed to buy this unless I'm in the All Isaac DLC Club, which I have exactly 0 interest in? Holy AIDS this is the worst sales tactic I've seen since loot boxes.

It's not a club, the DLC simply needs earlier DLCs to work. There is no Repentance without AB+, so you saying you have no interest in the other DLCs doesn't make sense because they are part of Repentance as well.

I installed Antibirth just fine back in the day on the vanilla game. I'm aware Repentance is more than just Antibirth, but AB+ has already come and gone. Antibirth was its own thing. How can an expansion on a fan mod possibly be dependent on a years-old DLC?? It's not that I don't see how it'd be possible, but if it is what people are claiming then they turned a fan mod into DLC for their own DLC.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.

It's all integrated into one big game, why should it be its own thing? If Antibirth had been developed later, they would have built it on AB(+) and you would have needed that as well for the mod.

Okaaaaaay.

Well, thanks again for the answer General Frost. I'll be going now.

Because generally speaking when there's multiple DLC's for a game you get to pick and choose the ones you want. That's, y'know, how DLC works. Imagine if Skyrim hadn't let you buy the Dragonborn DLC without owning Dawnguard. ...Oh, God, nobody give Todd Howard any ideas.

You are right, that's often how DLC works, but there is no law that says it has to be that way. And most DLCs are, as you said correctly, their own thing so they can work on their own. Not the case here.
I mean, does it even matter? Now you know how it works and whether you buy it anyways or decide not to has no effect on that.

Correct, but how it works does have a rather pronounced effect on whether I decide to buy it or not.

I'm not gonna get rude about it, but to be blunt, I was interested in one DLC. I'm not interested in three.
