The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Delirium must be redone or something
It is clearly unfair boss. Playing him with lost is nearly unreal. i've lost about 7 lives due to his ''teleport on your face'' stuff. How the hell should i do this, i did hush with no problems before, but this is not possible

so fun, thanks Edmund

(i had 2 quad shots + triple shot + brimstone + spoon bender)

He's not that hard

I wouldn't complain if he just moved fast and did his bullet hell thing. But he clearly teleports on your face or right before your next step. This is not about difficulty. It's about fairness.

He used to spawn on top of me all the time, but it seems better now. Except for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mom's Foot, which can actually hit you before showing any kind of tell. I did it by using Blank Card/Jera on a battery charge and then infinite Blank Card/Fool when I got hit once. If you play it smart it's not that difficult or nervewrecking. Lots of ways to get infinite tries, that's the way to go as The Lost IMO. It's not always about getting great DMG, the run I succeeded on was actually quite mediocre from that perspective. On another try with huge DMG but no teleports (except Delirium's -.-), I got rekt in seconds. In hindsight, I guess the game deserves some credit for making me think a little differently. Same as The Keeper, which I haven't done yet. Make some smart and different plays, and it shouldn't be that hard.

You almost need some kind of broken invulnerabilty with high damage. I had rune bag and dead cat so I managed to get jera + algiz and dupe the algiz inside the boss room which gave me just enough time to take him out with mom's knife.

I just beat Delerium as Keeper [who debatably is even harder]. He isn't that hard. I had no sort of protection [although I have a smelted swallowed Penny], but no orbitals or knawed leaf [Okay I had Lost contact + Tech X]. I only got hit once. Same thing happened in my Lost run, I only got hit once [losing my Holy Mantle], but still won! [Had Mutant Spider Brimstone with Mom's Contact Freeze effect though.]

High damage is the way to go against Delirium, but I managed to beat Delirium with pretty mediocre damage. In the run I did for Lazarus' unlock, the only damage up I got throughout the entire run was the Small Rock, but I still managed to beat Delirium thanks to quad shot, Mysterious Liquid, Pyromaniac, and an I'm Drowsy pill. Though it also did help that the fight ended prematurely when he transformed into the black champion variant of Brownie, who dies when his HP dips below 20% for some reason.

Get gnawed leaf + any orbital then take a nap. When you wake up the fight will be done:heart:

100% true.
I've even given a negative review because of him ("Ultra Greedier" is also crappy, but a bit more fair).
Wouldn't even buy this if not the achievements. Sad life of completionist :rage:

Just killed him as The Keeper. Like mentioned above; get swallowed penny and at least some damage and you're good.
Hush is waaaaaaaaay harder than Delirum

If you have high enough damage to kill it quickly Delirium really isn't that hard at all - the faster you can deal damage the less time you have to fight it while it's moving at insane speeds. Stopwatch/drowsy pills will make the speed more bearable as well, but if you can build up enough damage to kill it quickly it'll spend very little time at crazy speeds anyway.

I've only had it teleport on me once or twice total mind in well over 50-60 teleports - it does have a habit of teleporting quite close at times, but not right on top of you. It's the sheer speed and lots of teleports in rapid succession when it's almost dead that makes it feel like it's impossible to dodge at times if you're unlucky, but that's normally a fairly brief portion of the fight even with mediocre damage.

Don't pay attention to these people saying he is fine. He isn't. He's bugged to all hell and still will teleport on top of you not to mention the gfx and hitbox issues. On top of him turning into a red version of several bosses and instantly dashing into you so fast, you can barely see him with zero warning. I've beaten him on hard with both keeper and the lost and spent a LONG time practicing him over and over with lost (get hit and lose mantle, exit game, continue trick) and I still stand by my statement.

BTW, you're like the 10th person to make this thread. :) People clearly aren't just all making threads talking about how f-ed this boss is for no reason.
Steven of Astora Jan 16, 2017 @ 7:14pm
I agree he is pretty unfair. You can reliably beat hush without taking damage. But there are a lot of moments where he teleports on top of you or right next to you with no tell. There are also ridiculous brim shots that can come from multiple bosses. Lil haunts that run at absurd speeds in eratic patterns.

Basically just tried to manipulate a blank card/algiz run. In the end I just got some absurd damage, got him as low as I could before losing mantle and let gnawed leaf+sucubus finish him off.

The problem with that is getting to Delerium. You have to beat Hush for the 100% Void chance, but using the Gnawed Leaf trick takes FOREVER. You still have to rush to Hush somehow and rushing with the Lost is highly risky.

Also, I don't really want to sit around for an hour restarting until the Leaf appears. That's ONE item out of over 400 in AB+, AND you need another famialiar item just to make it useful... an actually useful familiar... out of 400+ items.

Finally, orbitals are practically useless with Gnawed Leaf. You have to rely on the enemies coming to you. If the enemies just throw projectiles, you could sit there for an hour and nothing will happen. Those stupid laser-eyes will just sit there shooting at you. You need Daddy Long Legs or Pinking Shears or Lvl. 3 Meat Bandages, or something else that can do damage almost anywhere on the screen, to really make the Gnawed Leaf reliably effective, and you'll still probably have to move occasionally to make your Meat Boy lock in, and the Pinking Shears is only really useful against bosses because of the six-room charge, and...

Even then, it still takes forever and your Hush/Void chance is falling by the second.
