Is thewaythey arespawned that if a normal chest is going to spawn, it rolls for a chance to become a mimic? Or are mimics a separate roll for the room drop?
EM added a visual tell for mimics.
OP, mimics aren't new to games, and have their roots in D&D. Many have even asked for them to be added to the game.
But people are too used to run into chest mindlessly. Now they must pay attention, devs are so horrible and all that, whatever.
It's a nice little new thing in my opinion.
Your opinion is invalid because of these two words.
Terrible consequences....
So, meh, they should probably nerf them with a not too hard to spot tell, or something. Unless their sole design was to be a ♥♥♥♥ move to the players. In which case they succeeded...
You can now tell if it is a mimic or not, mimic are a lot darker than normal chest and the spike are popping when you are near them. Just adapt your playstyle. Isaac was never meant to be a no brain, easy game.
mimics are a thing. get over it. when you see a chest that is suddenly in an area you KNOW you were in, guess what/ ^^ its a mimic. git gud, ffs
As others have said you just don't mindlessly run into chests like people used to and it'll be fine.
