Are Showdown's Order of No Quarter stages even possible?
I don't wanna jump to the conclusion that Showdown's story mode wasn't properly tested, but that's the impression I get when the game gives me a 3 v 1 gem match in a small environment.

I've done half the characters in medium difficulty and at this point, I'm assuming I pretty much got every single kind of fight.

For regular 3v1 gem fights, only one opponent has infinite lives. I recommend focusing on killing the other two (one of them has 1 life, the other has 2) so the fight becomes a 1v1. Of course, if you can get some gems while doing so, do it, but don't focus on it too much, as you will get gems back from killing those two enemies anyway.
For Order of No Quarter gem fights, the strategy is similar, except you can actually win by killing all enemies. Focus on murder, grab some gems when you kill, and it should work out. Still hard, but definitely possible.

PSA: There's no penalties or drawbacks for doing the game on easy and letting the AI suicide on parkour stages.

@LaChouette, No, the order of no quarter stages follow a different pattern to that and they are complete and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The AI has 3/3/2 lives, it's first to 12 gems, the gems spawn so fast you don't have time to wear anyone down and often in multiple places at once, and it's a tiny stage so the gems will usually spawn on top of multiple enemies. There's one at the last non-boss stage of the black knight story and I just went from five continues to game over.

On non-easy difficulties, it's 5-7 gems, which is even more BS, even on larger stages. It is possible to win sometimes, but I doubt it's possible to win consistently.

Showdown doesn't really feel finished in my opinion, maybe there's hope that there will be balance patches?

just play on easy...sounds cheap but it really is better for your mental health, trust me, the finale fight is a spaming s*itshow on medium

Actually, I found a better fix, one that's much less cheap. (Thank you though.)

The Order of No Quarter stages are always shown by Specter Knight being the last one before the boss, so when playing on a higher difficulty, if Specter Knight is the last one before the boss, restart. It's still possible to get BS'd, but it's significantly rarer.

Did one mission on easy, which I felt like: "should I get it on any harder difficulty... I would need to restart, as it's impossible".

I won't do anyone on medium or hard, should a single fight be close to that one. I only won thanks to sheer luck AND bad enemy composition.

They clearly did not test Showdown out at all, and, imho: should you get any mediocre stage with an bad AI teammate... reset time

I feel like the Order of No Quarter fight shouldn't have gems in it, simply a fight where you defeat all 8 with limited lives. That or the gems should spawn much slower. I was doing a medium difficulty run and got this fight in the campsite map, needless to say I wasted all my continues on it and failed.

The gems can act as a really cruel time limit, but the few times I beat one of these stages was through the gems. I think that if they let you play as a giant character for the Order, or something like that, that would be pretty cool.

Yeah I got the Order of No Quarter fight again while playing on medium on a small map (Plains - Grassy Clearing). It is a laughable joke, an absurd difficulty spike compared to anything else. From full continues to a game over.

The bare minimum that they should do is ensure this fight cannot happen on a small map with barely any cover (and no instant death pits for quick kills), like grassy clearing or the campsite. Even worse the gems on that map spawn in bubbles, so you cant even make a quick run for them.

What they should do to fix this is a) hand pick maps where the fight doesn't result in the AI stomping your face in (hint: bigger maps), b) increase the number of gems required to win so you have time to try and beat the enemies down (and hopefully steal a gem or two in the process) or c) remove gems altogether and make it into a showdown with fewer lives. Trying to beat 8 opponents all teamed up against you with 3 lives sounds challenging enough to me. Or come to think of it, d) if you lose the fight twice in a row, change the map into another one instead of forcing the player to waste all their continues on this mess.

Remember, if you see Specter Knight right before the skull, it's probably an Order stage. Just reset if you see that, and you'll be much better off.
