There is also Tiny barbarian which is similar or Volgar the Viking (which i hated, but many people like)

I know of 3, but they were already mentioned. Tiny Barbarian, Volgar the Viking and Rogue Legacy or if you like really hard platformers I would check out Wings of Vi.

spelunky can be dl for free just google it(its the older version)

i havnt played volgar, but the only metroidvania type game with this quality on steam is prob cave story.

rogue legacy is addictive but is also feels pointless with the whole world being randomy generated. also it rewards grinding more then skill
