Does anyone else swear by the gold armor?

It's the only armor I use. I think King Knight comments on it specifically if you talk to him after the boss rush. Something about his style rubbing off on you. I haven't beaten it without the gold armor so I don't know if he just says that or not

I use the silver one, getting a charged attack after jumping twice on an enemy is great for bosses.

Gold armor looks nice, but I swear by the purple armor, the extra double damage received gives a nice difficulty increase and the magic extend is a lot of fun.

silver armor is great, too great even, the big swing is to easy to aim in comparison to the hold down charge and slow movement

That's the armor I used on my first playthrough mostly because the others seemed to have some sort of disadvantage. This was before I discovered the error of my ways of course :P

The Ornate Armor is the only armor worth considering. Who cares about things like a higher magic meter or a charge attack when you can have front flips and sparkles?

Fun fact: As far as I can tell, the Ornate Plate stops the top bumpers (the red ones) from moving during Mona's minigame in the Village. Try it and see; I could be wrong!
