Maybe. I'm still surprised I beat it the first time I started using the grey armor.
What worked for me was playing very economically (no magic) for the easier bosses, saving magic to speed kill Polar Knight, and not using health refill chalices until I was absolutely sure I was far enough into the boss rush that I couldn't spend one and still die.
Ultimately, I found that the biggest factor was my performance on Plague Knight. If I could get rid of him without losing too much health, I had a decent shot.
Those actually were the easiest for me, along with King Knight. My main problem was Propeller Knight and Tinker Knight,
Well, in that run I had my first boss was Polar Knight, and to defeat him you just need to get close to him and jump on him, then you'll use the charged attack on him. When he goes away you shoot him with the fireballs. And Plague Knight was my last one, you just shoot the orbs at him while also trying to jump on him, it's pretty easy.
Odd, Polar Knight and Plague Knight were the easiest to me. You just get close to them and don't worry too much about getting hit by them, because you'll defeat them much faster. I hated Tinker Knight because the second phase pissed me off having to go up there and being shot by one of those little rockets coming from its shoulder. I got the No Damaga achievement from King Knight, by far the easiest boss.
King is indeed on of the easiest bosses, almost as easy as Black Knight since he's basically a clone of you again.
I can pogo Tinker Knights 2nd phase from start to finish until he's dead ... (except for dancing on his drill maybe twice) - no damage
edit: stayig close to Polar Knight is easy/safe if you get hit on purpose as that'll grand you protection from spikes.
Getting hit is generally what I do for Polar Knight also. I tend to just spam the shovel on bosses and never use magic. Maybe that's why I find Plague Knight annoying.
