But I was wearing the armor that gets you ammo refills for hitting enemies.

agreed. unreachable bosses are a chore, thankfully, not many of them in SK

I found myself going to grind for an armor set or a vigor/trouple scroll but kinda of stepped back and closed the game instead

I don't know if it's intended, but you can often reach the boss shortly after she enters the arena from left or right: You just have to time the dash right (very helpful in the rematch challenge).

I didn't think it was that cheap aside from the yellow attack which was very hard to dodge, I just kinda positioned myself near the edge of the screen and jumped at the right time. The end is just all about being faster than the boss: The attacks will be cancelled if you manage to do three hits quickly enough.

This was my favorite boss fight in the game, actually. No brand new (or barely used) mechanics, no instant death traps, and you can't rely on sub-weapon cheese to get through it; you just have learn her attacks and how to dodge them.

Well, if you're quick, you can get on top of her head with only 4 crystal pop, being agressive help to partially prevent her attacks.

I did it normally and i hated it, the fact that it takes long and the final phase is borderline unfair is annoying

"The fight is difficult but fair" = / = Cheap. "What nonsense, just learn how to bounce in the crystals and that's it. Or just buy the fish that fills you with hearts, and vigor. If even with this you keep losing, I simply have One thing to say: my God, learn to play better and stop blaming the game for your poor ability, optional bosses generally always have a greater difficulty than the final boss (Final Fantasy franchise, Amon, of the Yakuza series, etc. for examples) In fact it is the whole point of the boss, it is the maximum challenge to use the mechanics of the game in the best way. Nor is it the most difficult thing in the world, it is simply the biggest challenge of the game. Deal with it and stop crying.
