Xbox one controller support

So... it says there is controller support, but I can't seem to get it to work. My Xbox one controller works for any game other than this one too. Joystick is of course on, and also it says the buttons are unassigned but when I assign them, they don't function properly, for instance, the thumbsticks don't let me look around or move yet I can still hear a bumping noise if I hit "B" for some reason :? It's weird.

My X1 controller doesn't work either. I'm going to say this is the developers fault for not implementing proper gamepad support.

From my understanding most controllers/gamepads work, they just don't support xbox one controllers, which really sucks. I agree 100% with your statement, and I really don't think they should say "full controller support" when it's not fully supported.

I use xbox one controller too and it is not working either. Is there any development about this issue?

Not that I know of. But there IS a work around I think if you remap inputs from your xbox one controller to regular keys through a external program. I haven't gone through the trouble to attempt it, but if you look around you could probably find a program that does this.

I'd make sure your controller drivers are proper, Xbox One controllers are mapped to X-Input, just like the 360 controller, and both controllers work on my Windows 10 PC with this game.

If it still fails using the windows xbox drivers, you can utilize x360 controller emulator, which makes your game think you're using a 360 controller, and it will work perfectly. http://www.x360ce.com/default.aspx

It's not the dev's fault, it's the controllers. They're proprietary, and should do more to implement x-input on a better level.

hi, today i try this game with my xbox 360 controller under linux and it did not work. i can play many other games with this controller.

does anybody found a way to play this game with a xbox controller?

It's not just this game. It's because it uses the Unity engine. The Unity engine does not work with Xbox One controllers period. No Unity game will work. And there's nothing the developers can do because it's an engine problem. The Unity people will have to fix it.

My 360 controller works with every other game...Even with games that Steam says doesn't have controller support but this game, this game either lies about full controller support or they lie about full controller support.

Good thing I tried demo first. Had to break out keyboard to escape. Then came here.
Saved me a return with Steam.

This will be added in the upcoming Unity 5 patch. As well as PS4 controller support.
The steam controller should, in theory, work out of the box with the new upgrade.

When you said this, did you mean xbox one controller, or steam controller support? Regardless it's good news for someone in this thread
