Worth it?
Obligatory Worth it thread. It seems to be considered, universally, short. So im wonding if 15% is worth taking the plunge or is this only good to get when its 10$

I REALLY REALLY want to play this game, but I'm reading tons of "less than an hour of gameplay" on reviews. $20 or even $15 for one hour is insulting. $10, I'd consider it hesitantly (because $10 should have been the price in the first place). $5, I'd grab it in a hearbeat.

DEFINITELY will not be buying this game for $20 or even $15.. OVERPRICED.

Well... Idk LOL I am a wimp and this game scares me so much I'm unable to finish it :( LOL so if you're a big scardy cat like me, then u shouldn't :( but if you like games like this then yes!!

Greedy developers unwilling to let Steam go more than 15% on a snoozefest of a "game" rated at 66 metacritic score. Lol.
I won't buy it because I saw the walkthrough initially. But I would say worth it if you don't know what happens. The story is mildly interesting and it has a controversial ending which catches you off-guard, should play it :/

^Reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt.

controversal ending, the house your in is really a petos house and he kidnapped you. Now you must escape the house.

The devs have stated somewhere in these discussions that they're working on free dlc that will extend the play time. Personally I *love* games that replicate a dream/nightmare-like atmosphere, especially in first-person perspective, and I want to reward the developers and encourage them to do more work on THIS title (e.g. additional free dlc content) as well as, hopefully, other "dream simulation" games. :)

For me it's just a question of money being tight enough right now that I have to think about a $17-$20 dollar purchase--sad but true--so I'm sitting with the decision for a bit. But in terms of value, I've read comments by people saying you can get 3 hours of game time if you take your time with it (which is how I'd like to play), and that's comparable to time/cost for watching a movie--so to me it seems worth it from a playtime/cost perspective (with the caveat that I haven't purchased or played it yet).

Absolutely worth it! :)

If you judge games by what other people say about them there you're merely a sheep with no brain of your own.

It sounds like reliving my childhood nightmares. Not sure I wanna go there.

That is why we should not listen to your brainless comment about him being a sheep. Takes a sheep to know another sheep huh

I didn't know that they were working on DLC to extend gametime. Knowing that, I will probably wait. I'd rather experience as much of the story as I can the first time around, rather than go back for bits and pieces. I DO want to support the devs because this game has a GREAT concept and it really revs up them feels ESPECIALLY for a parent such as myself, but they're asking too much for too little. Free DLC? Wonderful. Reward early-access players with a low price and free DLC, not punish them with high prices and promises.

I think it's insulting to call a game overpriced, even though you haven't played it. (let alone have any insight on its development) Not to attack you, but the current trend of people thinking they understand how much things should cost is getting ridiculous. The steam sales are really spoiling some people. I understand the game may seem like it's too much for you, but as they say ''beggard can't be choosers''. If you want the game for less money you're going to have to wait. I was hoping for a further discount myself, but it looks like i'm going to be waiting as well. There's just no reason to whine like a child not getting their way. There are plenty of othe games to choose from.

My "brainless" comment about him being a sheep? Clearly anyone who won't buy a game due to it's metascore cannot think for themselves.

Spend your money on Broken Age instead.

Cool concept but 1 hour for a game costing $20 or even $17 dollars? I realize games cost money to make but it seem very expensive for a short game. Very cool idea now they just need to add more gameplay to it.
