Fix lag on laptops?
So this game is absolutely catastrophic optimized for laptops, in the lowest settings you just barely get 30 frames in max resolution.

My laptop is a Asus ROG G750JS with 8 gigs of ram, a i7 4700Q and a GeForce 870M on Windows 8.1 64. It can run Wolfenstein: The New Order in max settings but not this game in lowest. Anyone have any performance tips for this game, or maybe Unity games in general?

It runs perfect on my desktop gaming PC.

I was just looking for a fix for this same issue on my laptop. I'm currently running a perfectly capable MSI GE60 gaming laptop, yet was also encountering massive lag in Among the Sleep. On a whim, I looked through the properties of the shortcut. In compatibility, I either checked or unchecked "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" (I can't remember which - it was the oposite of the default setting). The game now runs perfectly on my laptop with extreme settings.

Hope this helps...

I've got an MSi GE70 and the lag is ridiculous, like 25 fps at the lowest settings. For me it's unplayable until this is fixed. Does anybody have any suggestions?

So i've done what Charles suggested, and there's a slight improvement, but the lag is still present and makes the game unplayable for me. Don't know what to do at this point. I hope Krillbite addresses this soon.

Is your laptop running Windows 8?
It seems to be a global Windows 8 issue with the Unity engine. If you can boot Windows 7 on it, do that and run it.

do i really need to run windows 7 every time i'd like to play this game? that's kind of ridiculous, and probably a deal-breaker for me :\

Not a game bug but an enginebug, look at the folks of Unity for a fix.

I'm also having this problem. The lag is really bad, and I'm running Windows 10.
I also tried Charles' suggestion and although there appears to be a very minor improvement, the lag is still there and making the game nearly unplayable. Any help would be appreciated.
