I asked Krillbite in discord if they are planing a sequel to Among the Sleep and their mod (Sofia / Syd) said this
"We can't say anything about that yet, BUT we have delved into some concepts we would love to share at a future date. That will be after we're done with Fruitbus though ;)"

This was one of the first horror games I ever found, Great to hear they're making a sequel, hopefully it doesnt suffer modern game syndrome...
