Just a few questions to help us isolate what the issue might be:
-Do you have more than 1 soundcard?
-do other games run fine in surround?(i know i know, stupid question but just checking all possibilities here)
And there is also the possibility that the old version might work for you, "If you do not want to use the updated version, you can switch back by opting into the legacy “beta” branch in the properties of the game in Steam". If it works for the old one but not the new it could help us a lot :)
I'm running Audio through the HDMI port of my GTX760. I'm not using a dedicated soundcard but there's of course also an onboard soundcard on my mainboard.
Surround sound works perfectly fine in other games. The last game I played was Dead Island Riptide which worked without any issues.
I already tested the old version but unfortunately I don't get surround sound either.
any news regarding this issue?
i'm running the 1.3.2. GOG version of the game btw.
there is no other version of the game available through GOG right now, so unfortunately i can't even try an older one...
ive tried to set launch options and even reinstalled and nothing has worked yet...please help...
Hello. If you go to your C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\LocalLow\Krillbite Studio\Among The Sleep folder you can find your profile. If you open up the file in a text editor you can change the resolution manually.
I have sound issues, too: I use a Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-Fi with a 5.1 Sound-System. Under "Audio Settings" the "5.1-square" in the game is clickable, but then all spoken dialogues are almost not hearable: It seems the main voices are missing while one only can hear the echoes of the spoken voice. In Stereo-Mode everything sounds quite well...
Problem still occurs. It's a shame :-( A game like this would very much benefit from surround sound.
HELLO?? somebody home?? why is there a 5.1 button in the game settings if all it does is ruin the sound?? whats wrong with the majority of Unity Engine games having serious problems to archive standard 5.1 surround sound???????????
games released in the 90s could do that!
id really like to buy the game but not with tincan muffled bug surround sound.
