No VR support mentioned.
Yeah, it’s a free update but that’s just as well when nothing much seems to have changed. Doesn’t Unity already support controllers by default? And isn’t the real point of this edition to release it on the consoles... that use controllers?!?
I bought it from the official Among the Sleep website, from the link on the store page. But I will see if I can track down the steam code, thanks
The new Museum is unlocked from the start - the snowy Prequel/Prologue is also there and unlocked. (& this makes me suspect that devs knew old saves would be incompatible, since first time player should not look at either of those before finishing main game because Spoilerz)
Steam Controller did not work out of the gate but I found an option for Joystick Support that defaults to Off - once ticked, it works fine although the default button mapping for Steam Controller is weird (Action/Use on R1/Right-Shoulder).
Enabling the Use Joystick setting also changes onscreen prompts and hints from keyboard and mouse icons to Xbox ones.
Aside from the Museum level, the only "new content" from what I've read is some additional or changed dialogue, which will probably be hard to notice. We might expect certain "monsters" to behave slightly differently in some levels also. They also teased that Museum has the "original, really crappy" ending but I have not found that yet.
You can change pyjama colour/designs now, without having to pay for loot crate keys or DLC.
I have a hard time with the right joystick on most games, like it won't look up or down and instead the mouse works for that. I instead use a PS4 controller, oddly enough, with no issues.
