Haha, I'm glad I saw this thread, because I was just about to play this for the first time here on Halloween. I'll wait a few more days! :P Thanks deeeevs.

Does the Enhanced Edition have VR support? I remember playing the beta on the DK2 4 years ago, would love to play again in CV1 or Vive :)

I guess the VR will never be supported. A lot of work seems to have been done on this expected option, highly "advertised" during the crowdfunding campaign, but the issue of people getting sea-sick while crawling as a baby definitely killed an interesting idea...

I hope this enhanced version improves controller support because I've just loaded up the original game and found that on starting a new game that while it prompts me to press X on my Xbox One Elite controller (while displaying keyboard controls!!!) that when the game starts that it doesn't register the analogue sticks at all so I can only move my head around using the mouse!

Would this automatically update once the game is opened? Like, if we downloaded the .exe from the website vs installing it through steam? I paid directly to the site, had an option of exe or steam, took both, but use only the exe

@dRoseOFC Steam version updated today - about 1.5GB, so you'd certainly notice. Not from within the application, using Steam's usual update system. I would go back to the site where you bought it and contact them.

It’s pretty disappointing to see this so-called “Enhanced Edition” still does not support the Xbox One controller. In fact, from a quick first glance I am struggling to see what is actually enhanced! What is the point of the Joystick option for example as enabling it does not allow the game to be played with a controller?

Yeah, it’s a free update but that’s just as well when nothing much seems to have changed. Doesn’t Unity already support controllers by default? And isn’t the real point of this edition to release it on the consoles... that use controllers?!?

I bought it from the official Among the Sleep website, from the link on the store page. But I will see if I can track down the steam code, thanks

Email for the devs is contact[at]krillbite[dot]com if that helps :)

Discussion forums for lots of my games are full of people complaining that XBOX One controllers don't work recently - there is obviously some problem. I don't really understand why Microsoft would make the new model incompatible with old Xbox 360 sdk/implementations and it seems to be up to every developer to go back and rewrite their input code. Hope this fixed for you soon.

Are the old saves still intact after the update? Had finished the main game but ready to do prologue.
randolf Nov 2, 2017 @ 2:40pm
OK I loaded it. If I had any saves, (having finished the game but perhaps on a previous computer) they're gone - it does not seem to use Steam Cloud Saves.

The new Museum is unlocked from the start - the snowy Prequel/Prologue is also there and unlocked. (& this makes me suspect that devs knew old saves would be incompatible, since first time player should not look at either of those before finishing main game because Spoilerz)

Steam Controller did not work out of the gate but I found an option for Joystick Support that defaults to Off - once ticked, it works fine although the default button mapping for Steam Controller is weird (Action/Use on R1/Right-Shoulder).

Enabling the Use Joystick setting also changes onscreen prompts and hints from keyboard and mouse icons to Xbox ones.

Aside from the Museum level, the only "new content" from what I've read is some additional or changed dialogue, which will probably be hard to notice. We might expect certain "monsters" to behave slightly differently in some levels also. They also teased that Museum has the "original, really crappy" ending but I have not found that yet.

You can change pyjama colour/designs now, without having to pay for loot crate keys or DLC.

I have a hard time with the right joystick on most games, like it won't look up or down and instead the mouse works for that. I instead use a PS4 controller, oddly enough, with no issues.
