This is an old pre-steam folder. Please remember that the root file is the same thing as the steam app one. Try to look for it.
AFAIK, this is the #1 priority to be fixed. http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=242718.0
1) It'll still have to connect to the master server and authenticate with it.
2) You can already do this if you get an RTB server from their service.
3) You would need all the add-ons, preferences, all server related content from the core Blockland, and almost everything from a full install of Blockland to run a server in the first place.
Your idea would be useless because the serversoftware would literally be a smaller version of a full install of Blockland.
2) I dont wanna pay for a service that should be done by the devs.
3) Yeah, that's what you do on a server.
Every other game that has dedicated server has a software/tool for a special server (not a "game installed"-dedicated server), why wouldnt it be possible to make a software for Blockland?
You cannot host a server without having connection to the master server and without authenticating your proof of sale with it.
2) This service is already implemented in the game. It is called "download a separate version of BL on your server computer and then run a dedicated through that."
3) My point was just proven, thanks. You have to have literally the whole of (the core) Blockland in order to host any server.
Although it basically needs all of the same things the full Blockland core has because it uses all of the files, AKA: without an install of BL installed, you cannot do this. I think NinjaBear is trying to say "I want a totally independent server software that runs without Blockland installed but hosts a server for BL."
My answer:
impossible.
It was impossible for Just cause 2 to be multiplayer.
My answer:
