The Wolf Among Us is an episodic neo-noir mystery game from the golden years of Telltale Studios. It's inspired and serves as a prequel to the "Fables" comic series published by Vertigo Comics. The game features a unique setting and style, making it an interesting play.

Positives:
+ Great art direction and style contributing to the neo-noir feel.
+ Fantastic soundtrack, especially the opening theme.
+ Perfect length for a Telltale game, right about 8 hours of playtime. I've felt some other games within this episodic genre have dragged on for too long sometimes, this certainly wasn't the case here.
+ Chapter replays allow players to easily acquire any missed collectibles needed for achievements.

Negatives:
- The game doesn't respect the "Night Light" option of Windows when it's ran in Fullscreen. That means the warmer colors this feature provides are not active in-game and that can burn your eyes, especially during evening sessions. This was the biggest problem for me and I couldn't find a way to resolve this apart from running the game in Windowed mode.
- There isn't a "Borderless Window" option in the settings, you can either play Fullscreen or within a standard bordered window. I was not able to force the game to use a borderless one even with launch arguments. It can probably be ran with DxWnd but that is a third-party program and extra hassle. The only reason I didn't want to play in standard Fullscreen was due to the "Night Light" bug, otherwise I wouldn't have cared for a borderless window.

Overall:
The Wolf Among Us is a solid Telltale title and a great game if you are a fan of this genre. Even with the minor technical issues I still recommend everyone who likes these types of interactive games to give it a shot. It frequently goes on sale so you can wishlist it today and get it cheap!

One of the best Telltale experiences.

Love Telltale and Telltale style games, this one starts with a lot of potential but (in my opinion) falls extremely flat at the end. If you like these choose your own adventure heavily story-based games, I recommend checking out The Walking Dead Game, Until Dawn, or Detroit Become Human. You can skip this one.

Loved this game, was disappointed when the studio was defunct, but now that it is picked back up and excited to play the sequel hopefully this year.

I love this game; my only complaint is that it isn't finished and may never be.
