Absolutely no sound at all. [SOLVED.]

Not in the menu, not in the game, anywhere. It's totally silent.

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, using RealTek audio drivers. No sound card, pulling right off the motherboard.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 5000+ Black Edition

4 GB RAM

If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

I mean the same specs as me, not the same problem, my sound is working w/the same setup basically, so it CAN work...

Are you using an AMD or NVIDIA graphics card? Have you updated drivers? Hmmm...

AMD Radeon 6800. I hadn't thought to update that. I'll try that now.

but I do have the same sound as you...no reason it shouldn't work at all, I'm sure it'll be fixed here..

Issue solved. I ended up uninstalling my sound drivers, then installing another. Afterward, I fiddled around with the speaker configuration in settings -- quadrophonic to 5.1 to 7.1, and it was there that 7.1 clicked sound on for the game. Something to do with digital inputs being used, although I'm not quite sure why. I appreciate your help, Windy City Gamer.

yeah, the realtek is very fragile..I had to re-install driers like you just from pulling out a headphone ack too fast..Also, another time when I turned off my microphone, crazy, but am happy to hear that you got it all fixed up:-) have fun!
