The Axe?
Okay, in episode 1 with the battle with the Woodsman, there was an axe. We saw it again in episode 3 in the battle with Bloody Mary. Does anyone else see a coincidence? Maybe just a reused prop or was it meant to be there again? Do you think Woodsman is still in on it or that maybe the woman at the beginning is in on it? Just want some opinions.

I think Mary sought out a reliable means of hurting bigby. What she ended up with was of course the silver bullet but also the axe that is known to be able to hurt him.

It could also the murder weapon. The tome in EP1 mentions that it's magic..

It's the Woodsman's axe, the same axe that was used to cut Bigby's stomach open and fill it full of stones.

its not coincidence or reused prop, something that distinguished in such a story driven game is definitely on purpose.

I also am sure its the murder weapon, although I dont believe woodsy is the killer

I really do doubt that it's the murder weapon. There were no signs that it had been used at the murder scene. It's also unwieldy and hard to conceal and yet there was not a word about it being seen at the hotel.

The beheadings were relatively clean cuts, I wouldn't think it a far reach to guess that the axe was used for them. The Woodsman is definitely not my first suspect, though.

As for it not being seen at the motel, Beauty said she didn't recognize any of the men she saw, but she'd definitely remember Crane. Meaning, another way inside? Or that she doesn't always notice everything that comes and goes? Man, I can't wait for the next episodes.

I had a theory a while back that the Woodsman's axe was being used to kill people, even if it wasn't Woody swinging it. Case in point: we see Woody in the Trip Trap when Lily's being murdered at the end of episode 1. His axe isn't with him. We haven't seen him with it since the beginning of episode 1, if I'm not mistaken.

Bigby makes a point of saying the beheadings are being done with something extremely sharp, or magical. That axe is both. I feel like Bloody Mary confirmed that theory when she got into position to decapitate Bigby. Telltale is showing us clearly in that scene: here's the murderer, here's the murder weapon.

He's using black market glamours from Aunty Greenleaf.
According to the Book of Fables, Bloody Mary can travel through any reflective surface, so maybe she is the killer but she didn't enter into the hotel through the door

If Bloody Mary is the killer, then she must have been doing it under the command of the Crooked Man. Something else I am curious about is why the Crooked Man needs to have possession of Crane... I guess it's just because of his close involvement to one of the murders? Or maybe he does know more than he acted like he knew?
Crane says something to the effect of "not having told them," anything to Bloody Mary... he deffinitly is a loose end for the Crooked Man.

So he will most certainly be tortured/killed. I pity him.
