In the grand scheme, I'd say they're about even. Depends on what you're looking for, I guess, but they're 95% the same.
I felt more connected to the walking dead. It was easy to get into and connect to the characters personally. The Wolf Among Us, I'm not sure if its because of the fairy tale setting, but you I'm finding it harder to get immersed. But I'm liking the story more. Murder mystery and the like.
I think the characters in TWD 1 have so much more depth and feel more 'real', TWD 2 seems similar so far though it hasn't had quite the same impact.
However I prefer the story line in TWAU and the fact that it's a lot more interesting, as well as they have the scope of creativity more that TWD.
TL;DR - I like both, for different reasons :D
I'd say I'm more invested in TWD though, but that's probably mostly because we're onto the second season so I've formed a bit more of a connection with the characters like Clem.
But to keep it short, if you like TWD, you should like this one too.
Thanks for the awesome replies, everyone! Looks like ill be getting this game once I get the money for it. Seems like there's more praise than criticism here :3
As for puzzling: None of the games really go very far there. The second season of TWD is on-par with TWAU or even more lacking there. There is "some" (crime) scene investigation in TWAU but it is rudimentarily at best and lackluster to anyone who seeks something even halfway challenging. Situations like the parking lot or the front of the drugstore as seen in the first season of TWD you will not find in either games.
