I don't think it is canon, because Crane is in the comics. And I really don't see how he is getting out of this one. But, if it is canon. We can assume that Crane will be fine. As Bigby takes him down... by bashing his skull in. Much later in the comics. I hope it isn't canon. But, if it is that is okay too.

Yes it has been confirmed as canon by both Willingham and Telltale.
