ps! Bluebeards fairy tale involved him beheading women, Tell Tales would never made it that obvious on who is the killer, so forget him atleast.
I'm not actually paying any attention to the characters' original stories on this one; few if any of the characters in this game act like their fables imply, and some (like Woody) are intentionally the opposite. People saying "well it must be so and so because they cut off heads in their story!" just make no damn sense. Does anyone in this game act like they do in their original fables? :p
Well, I havnt read the comic - im swedish btw, but I have heard about the bluebeard story...think it was from the 1700.
I think you're also forgetting the "discression is our guarentee" line. Lily's not blackmailing anyone, and that's likely something advertised to potential clients like Crane. Her lips are sealed, after all. No point in killing.
Well, except there was no serial killer when it was just Faith. And really, if he were going to do that, why not remove her glamour first like they did when examining the body? Crane just seems hugely put off by the whole affair of the mundy involvement and the interrogation and examining Lily's body ... all these complications he essentially invited on himself.
Too many mental gymnastics. Crane had some fun with a hooker, was very cautious about instructions and not getting caught, and then the next morning he finds out she's been killed and Bigby and Snow are on the case ... worst possible scenario. The moment he gets caught he runs like the dickens, and that's pretty much his involvement IMHO.
so, either this was something they did many times, and the "coma/sleep" was from her injections/drugs, then the picture could have been an old one... and the killer trying to set up Crane.
Crane would still be in panic mode because;
A. he is accused of being the killer.
B. he was paying hookers to dress up as his co-worker, hardly anything a mayor should do...
But as I said before, I suspect this game/story will have more then one killer, and 1-2 killings that will have nothing to do with the first death of faith, to try and fool people around.
thats why I suspect crane migh tactually be a killer, who decied to just dump the body as the victim of the serial killer.
EDIT: Incidentally, I noticed in Bluebeard's BoF profile that he's not a stranger to "the Crooked Lane". Guessing that the Crooked Man is heavily involved in the murders, Bluebeard has a deal with him to oust Crane, but Bluebeard's also keeping enough distance from him that when the fecal matter hits the oscillating unit as far as the actual murders go, he gets off scot free. Why is The Crooken Man after Faith and Lily? Well, the Tweedles are after Faith for stealing something ... and according to Beauty, the Tweedles work for The Crooked Man ... the question becomes "what did Faith steal?"
