Why I think Woodsman and Bigby are the closest
(Slight spoliers for episode 4)

Throughout the game I've been at odds with Woodsman but after the fight with the Jersey Devil I realized something. Woodsman is my best friend. I say this because we know each other best, we come from the same story, even if in that story we are enemies. In this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up world I've fought tons of horrible monsters from God knows what pit they crawled out of. So even though me and woody may axe each other. We do know each other and that counts when everyone turns into all sorts of creatures.

I don't know some random thought I had driving home, any opinions or thoughts?

It the games at least its certainly true to a point.... In effect you could compare them to a kind of Batman and The Joker type relationship, in that they've been enemies for so long they're the people who know and understand each other best, and that one isn't truely complete without the other.

If their relationship can be described as anything, he's certainly closer to being a friend of Bigby then an enemy.
Well Bigby's in several stories and I don't think he's that much closer to The Woodsman than he is Colin.

Perhaps but I think he just deals with colin cause he owes him. But he spent so much time with him maybe they grown a little on each other.

Also GrizBe the Batman relationship ia an excellent example

Bigby kind of makes it clear that he doesn't feel that he owes Colin though. The game doesn't really show Bigby & The Woodsman to have that kind of relationship though it's more one of them has faded into obscurity and degeneracy and the other hasn't if anything the suggestion more seems to be Bigby hasn't seen him in sometime. He's antagonistic towards Bigby at thebeginning because he's drunk and beating on Faith and Bigby has shown up as The Sherriff.

If you guys played the Jersey Devil scene the same way I did, you should have this strange Pulp Fiction moment between Bigby and Woody. The post ball-gag, let's not talk about what just happened back there - moment. Absolutely made the game for me right there.

From episode one onwards I've felt that Lee and Kenny relationship between the two of them. Depending on your perspective, you could say they hate eachother or just love to hate eachother - which is slightly different. In a messy world, which this universe is, everything is so unstable and you can't trust anyone. For Bigby and Woody, they are eachother's rock - that single non-changing jerk you can count on to be someone you dont like. You might trust then not trust other people, but Bigby and Woody can always count on eachother to act a certain way. Very special relationship and I applaud the OP for discussing it.

Well, considering how the woodsman tells his story that he just wanted to rob reds grandmother I got the vibe like the woodsman did not feel any resent to the wolf, he was just trying to get by and that was the situation he got in. He did mention something about being forced in roles no one wanted.

Also after the fight with Jersey Devil if you ask him if he's going to be OK, his only reply is "You know me" which would be a friends way of reassuring because just some stranger wouldn't know how he deals with his life.

Ya I asked him that too and just something about his reply and how he said it. Just made me feel very comfortable about him in some strange way.
