any ways anybody know the casue/fix?
If multiple people are getting it it could be an error in one of the servers storing the files. My first fix would be to try and verify integrity of game cache, if that doesn't work maybe try temporarily changing which server you acess and then verify again. After that I would bring it up with telltale and see if they can fix it with steam.

So yeah, that fixed it. Also, I had my game running overnight after I had finished Chapter 3 and I often need to pause the game (which I do by hitting escape). Could be that that helps in creating this bug.

exit from the game and start it again works for me
But now I'm tired of TT buggy games, I mean it.
I played a lot of them: Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, The Wold Among Us, just to name some.
I didn't find ONE without issues. And sometimes they were even major issuses, like the one in The Walking Dead preventing me from downloading new episodes.
The sad thing is that I asked TT official support for help but in the end the problem was fixed by a forum's users, just like me. Desperete for being helped, he found and shared the solution himself.
Maybe they should quit making episodic games, cause it's clear they are made in such a hurry: the techinical quality is poor and sometimes even the rest of the single episode is "cheap".
I'm not hangry, just sad cause I really like TellTale, especially David Grossman: he'll always be a genius to me.
But I can't be fooling myself any longer by trowing money to something I know is gonna give me problems for sure.
Really hope they're gonna change that. If so, I'll be glad to return playing their games.
