In the comics it literally takes them decades to grow affection for each other and even then it requires some out-of-control and pretty traumatic events before Snow lets go of her cold side and slowly starts to care for Bigby.
Snow has some serious trust issues, everyone she ever cared for has betrayed her. It wouldn't make sense for her as a character to kiss or even flirt with Bigby without an extremely solid foundation of trust.
Well no lenghty explanation will do in this case..........the game left me cold at the end, it's not that I think a full blown romance shoulda been in the game , but they could have at least provided some limited options in that direction or with another character.
I mean how Snow actually completely ignores Bigy the last time he sees her, that's fcking lame.........but I'm not surprised, telltale games are becoming just like Game of Thrones: shock people, kill as many characters as you can, do not get attached to anyone, etc, etc........it's a sad thing - it's simply not fun anymore.
As for Snow ignoring you at the end of the game, they needed to make the transition to Snow from the comics who's much more cold and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ than Snow in this game (who's way too friendly and open by the way). Plus, she has larger issues now as the Deputy Mayor and to Fables time isn't as important as it is to us. Snow ignoring Bigby for a few years means nothing to them.
Some minor comic spoilers:
Snow was mistreated (whether she was raped or not remains ambigious) by the dwarves and then betrayed by her first husband, Prince Charming, when he slept with her sister. So not only did she have a terrible time in the Homelands with the dwarves but she was also betrayed by the two people she cared about the most. It makes no sense for her to trust Bigby so easily, let alone fall in love with him. In the comics it takes some major events, including being drugged and kidnapped along with Bigby, before she starts to warm up to him.
I disagree with your TT and GoT comparison. Telltale usually sticks to the source material almost 100% and they've already deviated quite a bit by giving us all this flirting between Snow & Bigby, especially in the beginning of Episode 3. That's some major fanservice, in my opinion. And if you want to see how the relationship with Bigby & Snow evolves, there's always the comics. This game got me into the comics and they're truly excellent.
As for this game, I also agree that the potential of the first episode was never really realized in episode 2-5 and it could've been better. Especially the ending should've reflected our choices in a more meaningful way. E5 spoilers:
I was expecting some kind of point system during the trial of the Crooked Man where all your previous actions and choices would either help him get convicted or bite you in the ass, but the entire trial is pretty linear and it always ends up the same when Nerissa enters the scene. It would be nice if certain Fables would support you or speak up against you depending on your actions and if you could actually lose the trial, where the Crooked Man goes free and the game ends. Now this was only the case for the witch Greenleaf but this again had no effect on the outcome.
I also agree that some more recognition from Snow at the end would've been nice. Not a kiss, but a short private conversation.
Well I'm eagerly awaiting The Wolf Among Us Season 2.
