Faith and the Woodsman
So let me get this straight. Faith, when we met her, was in the Woodsman's room, correct? Because later when we investigate, the Tweedles were going through the Woodsman's things, which would imply that that is his room.

The Woodsman also owed Faith money. She was hooking, so we can probably assume that she was servicing him, right? But shouldn't she collect the money before the intercourse? I mean, that's just standard practice.

Another thing, later you find Faith's donkeyskin at Toad's. He hid it in the chimney. Why the hell was that there? Did she just carry it around everywhere, or did she live there too? Toad said he took things from the tenants when they left. I think the implication was that that was left in the Woodsman's room, though. I am not sure. In any case, what in the world would make Faith forget a coat behind, the coat that defines her character and that she has had for hundreds of years?

The woodsman was in a drunken rage when we met him. He was set off apparently because she didn't recognize him. It sounded like he thought she should recognize him.

I replayed that scene. The Woodsman knows her, it seems, and he's upset that she doesn't recognize him. Weird.

Lily was Woodsman's regular, she just wasn't avaiable for whatever reason and Faith filled her spot. It can be assumed that Woodsman flipped and started beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of her before intercourse was had.

The Donkeyskin was left there as an apology to Prince Lawrence. Whoever found the skin would deliver the letter, the skin being the proof it was actually Faith, to apologize to Lawrence. Since Faith, lily, and Narissa were supposed to leave Fabletown, Faith leaving her husband behind. The whole decapatation thing wasn't part of the plan

The Woodsman also made a point of saying that Lily usually let him pay later. So it's understandable he didn't have the money on him right then, since Lily was who he was expecting.

Now wasn't it also implied that Faith was Crane's regular since she looks so much like Snow? I do find it odd they were both in the place they weren't usually then wind up dead right after.

Lily was Crane's regular. That's why there was a photo of them together.

And she looked like Snow because of the glamour.

I think this is actually sloppy writing. It's never explained that Faith lives in the same apartment complex as the Woodsman. And that seems like that'd be an important thing to mention in the opening scene, too. And if that's the case, how could Faith not recognize the Woodsman? It's just weird.

Well bc Faith was not rly Faith. If she was Nerissa glamoured as Faith... she would not recognize him. Since the very last scene in episode 5 we know Faith or Nerissa had to be glamoured. Nerissa told Bigby that she was going to warn Lily. Lily should have been at the Woodsmans apartment.

The point is that the donkeyskin cloak's presence in the building is never really explained, regardless of who was who.

Yeah. Why is that cloak there? It's the one loose end in my theory. It's driving me mad.

Here's a long shot:

What if Nerissa, glamoured as Faith, went to the apartment looking for Lily (as per scheduld appointment), but the reason she was glamoured as Faith is that she knows that Faith, for whatever reason, left the coat there and she wanted to take it so she could escape. Toad apparently refers to Faith as a former tenant later on, so she goes to her room, meets up with Woodie, they do the nasty, and then she gets into a scrap with him when she doesn't recognize him and he refuses to pay her.

But was Nerissa covering a shift for Lily as Faith, or looking for Lily as Faith? I'm fuzzy on that

That's the best I got at the moment.
