Slow down the dialog timer?

Hi!
I understand the purpose of the timer. It makes you have to make decisions fast.
But it's too fast for me. Often, the choices arrive while dialog is still being spoken. I have to chose which to try and follow.
English is not my main language. The characters speak slowly enough so I can follow, but the choices are too fast to read when the sentences are long. And I've therefore made random decisions in the game I didn't want to make. I am not playing MY game. Just whichever answered I clicked fast enough. Or as if I didn't have an opinion.

There should be a way for people who have trouble reading as fast to slow down the dialog. It's an accessibility thing. But I can't find it. Anyone?

this works? wow I gotta try that next time. English isn't my native lenguage either and it's hard to read all 4 choices whilst listening to dialog and new dialog lines the longer u want and decide which to pick all at the same time. i like the timer thing but would've loved if it was extendended by 20 to 35%. never knew about space bar thing tho. i hope it's true. ill try it tonight. thanks!

Thank you! It feels a bit silky and takes you out of the atmosphere but it really helps with understanding. :)

This is a very unreasonable limitation. Iam a slow reader and not a native English speaker, so I always have to pause the dialogue.
