I tried doing something I did yesteday but tought it was minor, when my brother walked in my room I was playing the walking dead and he wanted to hear the game so I switch from my headphones to the speakers in the laptop.
Oddly enough sound was not coming from the game at all even through the headphones so I gave up and stopped playing it, then he asked about wolf among us and wanted to see what happens when I open it and by the miracles of luck it worked.
So for me it seemed to work when I put the speakers for my laptop as the default playback device instead of my headphones.
Headphones are still plugged in but the sound is coming from the laptop, no idea why this worked but it did.
If anyone else has this problem (be laptop or PC who knows) try setting the speakers as default first then open the game.
Best of luck guys.
I have no controller so it cannot be that :( I'm clueless. As usual, verifying game integrity is useless as crap lol
Luckily I had played through it years ago, but it still sucks that it keeps on crashing.
Running Mac OSX 10.11 El Capitan
