Leg cannon still OP?
So haven't played Overgrowth yet but I'm a big fan of Lugaru. I completed original company for two times and two main fan companies for about three-four times each. I like combat system very much but not how leg cannon was implemented. It was a really overpowered movement which you should have to use at least when you were fighting wolves (if you didn't have a sword or a staff, even knife couldn't help that much). I wonder is this still an issue in Overgrowth or developers made something with it an fixed combat system?

Jump-kick leg cannon is still the most powerful move in the game by a large margin. Though the campaign seems balanced to assume you are using it. One fight has you fighting two dogs in fullplate armor and longsword while you've got a rapier. Another has you fighting two wolves at the same time in a small arena while you're unarmed.

Without the jumpkick, you'd basically have to try the fight a hundred times to win.

Ontop of what Terkala typed, non wolf/dog enemies do try to get out of your way if you rely on jump kicking a lot.

It's still godlike, in fact it's mandatory to spam the crap out of it fighting Wolves (because they just poise through melee) or when fighting multiple armed opponents since reversals are fidgety as hell and take too long vs the instant elbow of death that characters get when using swords at close range.

Agreed UnluckyDuckie. Even if you perfect parry you die if they have a good attack angle with a sword. So there is no way to fight sword enemies other than jumping or trying to get lucky hits.

Not true - you can easily dodge sword attacks? and then hold down the block button to throw and then you will disarm the enemy.

Wolfs on the other hand will only take damage from swords and leg cannon.

Also you can throw your weapon on enemies and to avoid them catching it - you must do it when they are jumping/mid-air or when they are in large groups since they cannot catch that easily then.

This is exactly what we're saying. If there's more than one armed opponent, trying to throw them to disarm them will leave you open to getting 1 shot by the other.

It's less luck and more wise to just bait them with the jumping leg.

.... Only if you do it with both of them right up your face, which if you think about it, is pretty dumb and also immersive since people would surely attack you even though you are attacking their buddy/friend?

The trick is to get some room between them, kick one down and then disarm the other in the short moment you have.

If you find it that hard to take down more then one armored enemy, then play some arena´s and practice fighting against enemies with weapons while you have none, it will quickly get easier.

I am not saying it is "Easy" to do this, but neither am I saying that the ONLY way to fight enemies with sword is to just leg-cannon the f* out of it, coz that is not true, unless you cannot fight or is very new to the game.

And dogs throw their weapons alot, so get back a little, be ready to catch it and then you only need to disarm one ;)
