Question: Kuwashii visor?

I just started ME2 again.

Omega is the first place you visit, to get Mordin and Garrus in your squad.

I went to Harrot's shop and discovered he had the Kuwashii visor for sale. Naturally I bought this at once as I play as an infiltrator with sniper as my only weapon. I was delighted. Not only gives it a headshot damage +10% but it also is the most fancy looking helmet in the game. Nice!

Hurry back to Normandy to change helmet. I was about to get Garrus, and +10% sniper damage would help. But the helmet was not there!?

I can't equip the Kuwashii visor as it is not available in my inventory. Where did it go?
I'm 110% sure I bought it. So, why does it not show up in my inventory? Is it not available before later on? Is there a quest related point you have to reach?

It isnt in your normal inventory, you have to go to an armor locker. Havent played 2 in a bit, correct me if I am wrong.

By 'armor locker' you mean like the one Shepherd have in the captains private cabin where you can change your armor and casual wear (with the yellow digitalized body flickering above)?

Yes, but the visor is not there/available. I don't understand it. I have lots of other armor types from the DLC, but no Kuwashii visor despite I just bought it from Harrot's shop.

Its not an armor type, under the default armor set it should give you legs, head, torso ect, options. The visor is under head.

Yes, I use the first armor option as you are able to customize it. All the other armors are presets and you have no option to change anything on them.

But the Kuwashii visor is not present after I bought it from Harrot's shop. This is what puzzles me. All the other helmet types are available to me.

That is why I ask if this helmet (visor) is hidden until a certain point in the game, and I just didn't earn it yet? Or is it a bug?

I wouldnt say its a bug just yet, but it should unlock the moment you buy it.

That is what I thought as well. It should be available when you buy it.
Why make it available to buy if you can't equip it?
