~Cannot send probe onto planet with touchpad mouse~
I am playing ME2 on an Asus Q301 laptop, and I cannot send any probes onto planets. This is because I cannot right click and left click on my touchpad at the same time (the right and left click buttons are actually one long button); you have to be actively scanning (right click) in order to send a probe (left click). I would really like to avoid getting an actual mouse, since I usually game with my computer on my lap, and don't have a solid surface to put the mouse on.

Does anyone know a way around this, or a way to bind the scanning or probe-sending to a key on the keyboard? I cannot find any settings in the options menu that deal with this, and I cannot use Mouse Keys because I do not have a numeric keypad.

Thanks!

There's a program called Autohotkey that you can download and write scripts for to rebind keys and mousepresses. I have written one for you that rebinds the hash/tilde key (the one just left of Enter and above Shift) to simulate holding the left mouse button then tapping right mouse button. If this is the incorrect sequence of mouseclicks please let me know. You can download my script here: EDIT: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByhVqMDrZr8ud3BBZG9Ibnh5X3M/view?usp=sharing

So you should download this and run it by double clicking it. Then go to Mass Effect 2 and you should be able to mouse over a planet's surface as you normally would, then hit the Hash/Tilde key to fire a probe. If you want to shut down my script, press Ctrl-Escape or go to your task bar and find the Autohotkey process and quit it. The script will make a "ping!" noise if it quits correctly.

Good luck out there, Commander!

Thanks so much for your help! However, the mouse sequence is holding the right mouse button then tapping the left mouse button, so the hash/tilde thing isn't working.

Wait a second, it bound it to the key above enter (backslash and the straight line thing) so it's working! Thank you!
