Mass Effect 2 (2010)

I somehow romanced Jack..
Hi, after each mission I usually talk to the crew. It is pretty obvious when you romance someone in Dragon Age: Inquistion but it is hard to tell in Mass Effect. I romanced Ashley in my Playthrough of regular Mass Effect and I heard you can keep her in Mass Effect 3.. Can I somehow get rid of Jack without her leaving my crew? :(

I bought the Trilogy so I don't have access to all DLC if that is a problem.. maybe you guys can also recommend me some good DLC to look out for

For female Shepard it's possible to end up romance with current love interest, just choose the line "Let's be friends" or "Don't push things" etc, but don't forget to flirt to other possible love interests when it's possible. I think the same way works for Male Shepard, right before the final mission you can choose who's gonna be your partner (break up with current love interest and choose other).

P.S. Meh, how weird it sounds :D

Jack has 2 possible kinds of romance, you can have a one night stand and when ever you talk to her afterwards she'll tell you that your just screwing around, and thats basically the end of it or if you haven't done that you can pursue a full on relationship, either way if you actually haven't commited to the relationship you can still pursue another interest,

I think on my very 1st playthrough of Mass Effect 2 Jack was my love interest

you can renew your ME1 romance option in ME3 - e.g. if you romance in ME1 with Kaidan , you can romance with anyone in ME2, but in ME3 you have to choose - you will continue you romance from ME1 (Kaidan/Ash/Liara) or from ME2 (Garrus/Tali - rest of the crew won't fight with you in ME3 and leave you) or you can make a new relationship
I always go for Tali. Cute and shy, intelligent. Probably the ideal type of a woman.
Never had romance in ME1 cause she wasn't available back then. But in ME2 it was three times. And one time with Miranda - but that was rather accidental. You know, when you are playing a game for too many times and you are skipping dialogs with SPACE, sometimes you click one more time and thus you select a dialog option you don't want.

Whatever you do in ME2, you can (at least through certain actions) rekindle or continue or start romance with the ME1 romances, in ME3. It just has a different tone based on if you're continuing or rekindling or starting.

Romancing Jack in ME2 then dropping her in ME3 may lead to hard feelings, but nothing dramatic (unlike Miranda - spoilers! lol).

BTW when it comes to romances in DLCs, ME2's Lair of the Shadow Broker is good when it comes to Liara, ME3's Leviathan and maybe From Ashes(?) are good for mentions of romances, at least if you bring the love interest (Kaidan/Ashley/Liara/Tali/Garrus/Steve) along, and ME3's Citadel DLC is MAJOR for additional romance content, with pretty much everyone else (including your Ashley and Jack romances).

Does the citadel DLC do anything with the Samara kinda romance because i remember when i tried to pursue her as a love interest in ME2 and was about to kiss her but got blown out, i'm just not sure if anything was put in the DLC for that particular option being as i have only played that DLC once when it came out

Samara isn't counted as an actual romance in ME2 (only Miranda, Jack, Tali, Jacob, Thane, and Garrus are - with Ashley/Kaidan and Liara continuing to whatever degree but not counted as a full romance).

But.

IF you flirt with her in ME2, to the point of insistence, while ME3 doesn't recognize that, Citadel DLC DOES. It still doesn't count as a full romance (like in Achievements), but it does finally get acknowledged, and engaged in to a degree.

So yes, Citadel DLC does have something for Samara-mancers. However, I believe you CANNOT BE IN AN ACTIVE ROMANCE when you get there. You must be single.

As a reminder, Samara can be 'romanced' by both Male and Female Shep. And again, it only gets flirted with in ME2, and engaged in ME3's Citadel DLC.

Yeah i was kinda gutted that Samara left me high and dry in ME2, next time i play through the Trilogy i think i'll try the Samara one in the Citadel DLC, so cheers for clearing that up for me

To be fair, she has totally legit reasons (YMMV) for leaving you high and dry. She devoted herself to a specific cause and made herself into a person (or at least avatar) of something in order to achieve this cause - Shepard can just gradually deviate her away from the cause enough that she can think more of the future and its possibilities, instead of only her difficult present and painful past.

What if I drop Jack now?

I can tell her that she doesn't need someone or smth like that.. I declined her sex offer aswell. I have no idea how I even ended up in the romance...... will Jack stay in the team? She told me about some guy that saved her, I am not that far into the game yet..

Go check out the Wiki article on Jack and her romance - sorry but I dunno the exact particulars. I think you may be able to break up the romance at any time... I think... but it may affect Loyalty.

I dont think anyone actually leaves in Mass Effect.

I personally stayed with Kaidan right the way through as it just seemed the right thing to do. :)

Romancing Miranda in ME2 and breaking up with her in ME3 (except maybe through a sort of weird method) ends ...badly.

If you break it off with Jack she won't talk to you again. She stays on the team but she is not happy.

Thanks for the first accurate answer for my question.
