ME3 Multiplayer Problems
I am just getting slaughtered in Multiplayer. I have played about 30 missions and I always die in less than one minute. I've not won a single mission. I completed ME1 and ME 2 on hardcore. What am I doing so wrong? Do the multiplayer missions get easier?

Are you playing with other players? think of ME3 mutliplayer as Left 4 Dead, there is no way in hell one player can solo horde mode. If it's not that then check the difficulty there was one time where I was wondering why I was getting my ass handed to me in a full group, later I found out I had difficulty set to gold XD but if you're still playing the story and you need more "galactic control?" (galactic something I currently don't remember the name of it, been a long while since I played ME3) I suggest playing on bronze because there's no point in making grinding even more painful.

The thing is if you have only just started playing being as you played about 30 mission's the chances are you got ♥♥♥♥ gear and you have not got all the upgrades, most of your weapons will be level 1 and you still need to unlock the good weapons and get them upto level 10, it'll take about 100 or so matches before you get some of the good gear,

It is possible to solo a Gold challenge, i have got to wave 10 on my own using a Vorcha with Geth shotgun lvl 10 against the Reapers, on my 2nd try at it

Another thing is you could be playing on the Platinum difficulty, Gold difficulty is around the same as Insanity in the single player and Platinum is alot harder than that

Oh man I completely forgot about that pack ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, at least the default weapons aren't that bad. I managed with it and sometimes to add more challenge I'll use them but over all they aren't the worst guns. The real problem I had back in the day was unlocking characters, they won't let you buy them upfront they want you to take a random chance.

^^ Yeah i still haven't unlocked all the characters and weapon's on PC and i've completed over 4000 waves on Platinum, i had them all on xbox tho, but yeah you need good fully upgraded weapons to solo a gold, i haven't tried it solo on Platinum mind, it's hard enough with a group, the newer characters are beefed up abit compaired to the default one's so i guess it just takes quite abit of grinding for the extractions to get adequate gear

No I don't have anyone to group with... but how will I upgrade and get new characters if I can't even survive a single mission?

And that is on Bronze level too...

Just join a public match with random people. you shouldn't be trying to play solo till you have gear.

Play online with random people and if you can extract on gold you will have enough credits to buy a spectre pack and you get a random chance at upgrades/weapons/characters

or you could save those credits until you extract twice on gold or until you have enough credits and buy a Arsenal pack for a higher chance of weapons or the reserves pack for a higher chance at characters, all these packs have a chance for upgrades,

or if you can't wait until you have enough credits buy the veteran pack, sometimes these give weapons and stuff,

I'd play in Bronze until you've levelled up enough to move onto silver, then onto gold, Platinum is best advised for when your near level 20 and have some decent gear

-Join a Public Match on Bronze. Have everything else randomized in order to draw from the biggest pool of players. Bronze should be good enough to play on the most basic of gear (technically Silver would work too, and provide better rewards).

-Stick to buying the basic 1-2 types of packs (Recruit/Veteran) until all of your Common gear is maxed out in level. This gear (mods/weapons) can provide the basis for you as you grind Silver difficulty.

-Eventually, you'll be able to solo Bronze, Silver, and even Gold and by golly, even Platinum, but this will take 100s of hours.
You effectively 'win' MP once you can easily do/solo Platinum difficulty with maxed out top weapons in the game.

But yes, Bronze with a Public group is best for you right now.

For the record, I'm a Silver/Gold player who tries for 4-mans and has Uncommon gear. I've played for dozens of hours but not hundreds. There's a few people that I know IRL that I play with, but otherwise fill in group slots with Public players.

To make this perfectly clear - this is *multiplayer*. It is geared around *groups*. Even Bronze is about the level of Insanity (or harder) in singleplayer.

I concur with all above; set your multiplayer game selection to public and bronze difficutlty till you get the hang of it. It's practically impossible to survive on your own.

Bronze is soloable straight out the gate but you need a little luck and you need to camp the ammo box. Using a soldier and killing huge packs with grenades works really well. I was able to solo a few matches straight out the gate but failed as many, if not more. Well timed and positioned grenades can wipe out a good chunk of each wave but like I said you need to camp the ammo box.

Much more fun with a group though, quicker too.
