The Thresher Maw only appears in Grunt's loyalty mission and nowhere else right?..

Yes. There is only one Thresher Maw, and it is really really easy to kill using the Assault Rifle from the Collector Ship.

You mean the particle beam? How does it compare to the Cain and the Arc Projector? I had seen some Mass Effect guide that recommended using those against it.

Actually, I meant the Gun you can choose on the Collector ship. While it is too much of a heavy artillery piece for most situations, Thresher Maws, Reapers or compact Groups of humans and collectors are quite vulnearable to it.

Then you're not talking about the Horizon quest. What mission is that? Where do you find it?

If you're only at Horizon then you've not done the collector ship mission yet.

I'm past Horizon. I recruited the assassin and did Mordin's loyalty quest. Miranda's and Jacob's are done and Garrus finally asked me for his. Haven't recruited Tali and Samara though. When exactly does the collector ship show up?

The Collector Ship mission should show up after doing a few missions. Just recruit the remaining squad members, then do a few loyalty missions if it hasn't come up yet. It's vital to plot progression, so you'll always get it.

The weapon that was mentioned is the Revenant Light Machine Gun, one of three special weapons you can choose during the first section of the Collector ship. Only the soldier class can aquire the Revenant, however, as only they have training in Assault Rifles from the beginning. The other classes can gain the ability to use Assault Rifles, but can't get the Revenant itself. And trust me, as a Soldier myself, I can say that that gun could kill Harbinger, it's so badass.

Aww crap, I'm playing as an infiltrator. : (

I could change professions, but I like the cloaking device. I've heard that cloaking doesn't work on the Thresher Maw though.

Other classes can gain the ability to use Assault Rifles? Through "Retrain" you mean?

Can an infiltrator get adrenaline boost to go along with his tactical cloak?

No at that point in the Collector ship you get a new weapon specialization to choose and Assault Rifles is one of them.

I never knew about the Revenant though as I have never played as a Soldier lol

But you get to keep being an infiltrator right? You don't lose tactical cloak?

Can I get adrenaline boost to go with it?

Yes, you still remain an infiltrator and keep tactical cloak. I am assuming you mean adrenaline rush, that is a soldier only power. the only extra powers you can get are from gaining loyalty of party members and that unfortunately is not one of them.

ME1 - Thresher Maws appear as Mako/foot battles on Uncharted Worlds. I hate them! Kill them!

ME2 - A Thresher Maw only appears on Grunt's Loyalty mission on Tuchanka. Can kill it but don't have to, as you just need to survive it.

ME3 - A Thresher Maw only appears on the mission at the end of the Tuchanka story arc (not a spoiler, as Bioware even used major trailers with this). Don't fight it at all, but use it against a Reaper.

Interesting to see that progression :)

Well, the games Thresher Maw were really only better cannon fodder unless you got out of the Mako. The second one was also weak enough for it to allways be easier to kill it than to wait, except maybe for Insanity. THe third ones, on the other hand, is said to be the Mother of all Thresher Maw. And thats what I would call a boss!
