Depending on DLC, sidemissions, conversations, etc.
As in, you can rush through the main story and minimal missions and be done in a couple dozens hours, or you can take in everything (especially in the quest for the 'best ending') and it can take 40-50+.
It can really help your story experience to play ME1 first and transfer your story save file over.
60hrs, in-depth, all dlc's, hardcore/insane
So if you want to play ME2 as third person shooter - it's pointless, the game will be shorter and less immersive. If you want to play ME2 as cRPG - play frist ME, then the second game will be reach experience in incredible sci-fi setting.
Can I ask why it matters though? Not that I wish to sound like I'm trying to start an argument, I just think it's a very curious question. I mean, why ask how long it is instead of just sitting down and playing it? :P
If that's one single playthrough then.. I'm sorry, but I think you're doing something wrong. o.O Like, running in circles somewhere.
In fairness you'd have to be remarkably slow at it for it to really have an impact on the length of the game. Most people woudl probably spend about half an hour in total in hacking minigames through a whole playthrough where they loot as much as possible.
