ME2 Suicide Mission: Mordin Solus *** S P O I L E R S****
i did everyones loyalty mission, and after the suicide mission, it stated that everyone lived and no one died. only for me to find out after i imported my character to ME3 that mordin died during the suicide mission. wth???

then i read that he has a weak "defense" and to save him it would be best to have him escort the people to normandy or have him in your party... after the fact of course.

ME2 should have been more clear instead of saying everyone survived.. such wrong..

im too far ahead in ME3 right now after i found out for me to redo the ME2 suicide mission to get mordin in ME3. . i enjoy his conversations .. godmnm.

You even got the 'everyone survived' special happy ending of ME2?
M E G A D E T H Aug 20, 2015 @ 4:34pm
yea i got the h appy ending , same as this youtube video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v99xh94Y2x0

all except when given the decision to detroy the base, or to save it for research i chose to use the EMP (??) shockwave thing whatever to kill everthing on board but to save the base for research, so the illusive man was happy.. after that scene, it was the same, me walking in the ship, jack nods at me, etc....

Keep/Destroy the base doesn't matter for 'Perfect Ending', only survival of everyone (except the colonists, of course lol).

This sounds like it might even be a bug? Could be wrong.

Wait, I just watched the video. This is NOT the Perfect Ending.

This is:

See the shot at the end with the squadmates prepping? That's what you need. Seems your Mordin died, and it may have indeed been due to his 'Defense Score'.

To get the perfect Defense/Hold the Line score, you need to prioritize putting 'tougher' (LOYAL) squadmates left behind to hold the line. If you do, no one should die - not even a Mordin (the most squishy). But yes, to be safe, its best to either bring (LOYAL) Mordin with you for the final fight, or leave him to escort the crew to safety.

i looked at both videos and the final shot of the squadmates prepping are identical.. then joker hands him a datapad,.. which looks like reaper ships?? then we see a bunch of reaper ships for final cujtscene.

also for your linked video, at 25:09, and for the video that I linked at 8:30, shepard says " im here joker. did the ground team make it? joker says "all survivors on board. we're just waiting on you".. i distinctly remmeber him saying this to me when i killed the final boss, so i figured cool, no one died.

then i load up ME3 and i see mordin on the mortuary list.. wtf. like seriously, ugggg... just curious why the death of mordin is hidden away.

Okay, I think I misunderstood watching your video actually. I'm sorry :(

Might be a bug. I dunno. I wish I could help.

Joker said the same when Mordin died, everyone's cool, but when he said it I saw Mordin lying death in the cutscene. Then Shepard looking at his coffin on Normandy.
They should be more clear in that, I noticed he died, but it could have passed if I wasn't paying attention to the cutscenes.

Can you not re-load a pre-Suicide Mission and just do that again?
AbedsBrother Aug 21, 2015 @ 2:41pm
No coffin scene after the suicide mission? Sounds like your save file bugged somehow. Only option is to re-play the suicide mission - and who's to say the save-file won't bug again - or edit the save file so that it has all the correct flags checked.

ok i guess my problem is not a common issue.. im like 35-40 hours into ME3 though, im cool.. plus i did replay the suicide mission on casual difficulty just to see what changed.. and well, the ending doesn't change.. with mordin dead though, he doesn't carry over to ME3, and its a diff doctor. .. thanks for the help guys..

If you still want Mordin alive without replaying, you can use the save editor for ME3 and go to plot>mass effect 2>henchmen>uncheck mordin dead
