They're pretty much the same, and story wise there isn't that much of a difference
so, one last thing, I do know that dominate and reave are similar, but does they both end up in the extra power options? Where you can add warp ammo, barrier, etc?
I played ME2 ages ago so do not remember :P
2. She gives an alternate experience and understanding of asari, that's all.
However, she is nearly non-existent in ME3, so for most playthroughs (or at least a main playthrough) of the trilogy I'd say go with Samara. Samara is much more existent in ME3 and a clear part of the Citadel DLC for it, whereas Morinth is a throwaway who might have had content otherwise, but if she was, plans were cut for it.
3. Samara wrecks the enemy while Morinth makes them turn on each other. Up to you what might be more useful for you to deal with.
I know you cannot vget Samara as alove interest, but I thought same was for Mornith. Not the case?
Renegade does not = bad and Samara is a ruthless killer too.
You can technically get Samara as a sorta love interest if you try in ME2, continue to try in ME3 (I think), and try again in ME3 Citadel DLC while having no other active romance.
