Communication with EA servers interrupted

I Can't connect to the EA servers and claim my keys, so i can't get the conent i bought, anyone know what to do ?

I had this issue, I googled around and found a post that revealed official EA guidance was to download a 'crack' to unlock the DLC yourself.
A bit of a joke but it worked.

yeah, that wont do it, i bought this game and should by the agreement made on purchase have the rights to the game plus dlc on steam.

You should, but you don't.
And I agree it's absolutely unacceptable.

But if you read the post you'll see that it's an official response from EA that recommends using that program.
And it works, so you get what you paid for in the end.

well, the purchase was with steam, so unless steam goes forth and say the same thing officially i can't see myself being in the legal rights to follow EA's instructions on downloading a cracked version of the game i bought on steam. it's all way too unprofessional..

Usually either the servers are temporarily down (which they aren't atm) or your anti-virus is blocking the out-bound connection (make an exception in the antivirus for ME2).

You're entitled to some dlc, but hardly all of it. You'll have to purchase the ME2 dlc bundle on Origin to get legal access to all the dlc.

yup, and even though i have less than 2 hours of gameplay on ME2 on steam my refund request is refused, let's not hope EA buy up too many games on steam this way

I tried using the crack linked above and it still doesn't work for me and is saying it can't authenticate the dlc, any advice?

what you need to do is use the update for me2 that is apparently exclusive from EA. that webpage link given by kiro the avenger https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/#masseffect are NOT cracked files but are actually official direct downloads from EA given especially for users of these games on other platforms. These game suffer alot of issues apparently with getting origin and steam to work together. If you do not officially own the dlcs, they will not work for you. SO, what you need to do:

1) MAKE SURE you own the ME2 that INCLUDES access to the Cerberus Network. This will be the digital deluxe version.

2) MAKE SURE that your Origin account is linked to your Steam account on EA's side. You can check this by going to your "Security" page and check "Connections". If Steam is not listed, go to EA's help page, log into your origin/EA account from there using the steam link they provide. Provide "yes" to allow EA access and choose to link your EA account to your Steam account. This won't affect your Steam, just Origin.

3) Open the Me2 game you downloaded from steam BEFORE attempting to update or install dlc. Steam does not actually install the game until the first time you load it.

4) install the 1.02 update FIRST. The Steam version will not connect to the cerberus server without it.

5) Open Me2 and login to the cerberus network using your origin ID and password.

6) After logging in, close ME2.

7) Install dlcs that you own using the files downloaded from that webpage link.

8) Reopen ME2 from steam and enjoy :3

If you happen to be having issues with an error "awc.dll failed to load" then:
1) Go to your ME2 install location/Binaries folder and launch directly from the ME2Game.exe

honestly i gave up on this due to how inconvenient it was, and also lost all interest in the new games beccause of this, but thank you for the info non the less
