do you have to throw the party before you can leave the silversun strip
fixed: running CEM will stop you from returning to the normandy until the party is finished; and it treats it as an end game. so keep CEM uninstalled until you're ready for it to act as the ending to the game

what topic says. i did the citadel main mission all the way through and was going to do thessia/horizon/endgame before throwing the party, but i just cannot leave the silversun strip using the rapid transit. it just wont activate and let me leave. do i have to throw the party first or something?

i know this is a me2 forum but im sure everyone here has played me3

Normally you should be able to leave via the taxi stand/rapid transit outside the apartments.
Sometimes there is a bug and the transit icon does not appear, just try reloading the save.
But there should nothing preventing you from leaving the Citadel even before the party.

edit: it was the CEM mod i have running.

wierd. i went through the party just to test it and the game went to the start screen after the ending so i believe it is the LIME to CEM transition mod i have running. i'm going to try it now that its uninstalled and hopefully that'll fix it. it should, since what its supposed to do is change the citadel dlc into the endgame. its better as pre-endgame imo anyway. just didnt remember how nice and final the party and final scene was.

i enjoyed the LIME to CEM mod. LIME adjusted it so that no matter your EMS, destroy is the only option, the normandy evacs crew, anderson lives, edi and geth are implied to live, shepard lives. then it fades to black and starts the citadel dlc where you left off. so you as the player can envison the crew finding shepard amist the rubble after hearing him/her breathe during their search in the cutscene. then shepard heals up and shepard and the crew take shore leave and celebrate the reaper defeat.

its just a bummer that the mass relays are always destroyed no matter what, but at least FTL travel is still a thing, and the relays can be rebuilt.

just finished everything about a hour ago, i feel empty. kinda want to go right back to me1 and stay in the mass effect world

Feeling exactly the same, wanting to replay, but im not gonna do it. Im even removing any ME related videos from my youtube suggested.

I had already played citadel DLC before i went into cerberus HQ mission, but i did still try out JAM ending (and then replayed conduit/citadel bit), that mostly just changed my destroy into EDI/geth live, and the crew doesn't just chicken out and runs, instead goes back to look for shepard in the rubble. They find him when he gasps, and rescue him. Final scene has shepard putting up andersons plaque at the memorial wall i believe, and then one last scene with your LI. During the slideshow, you see Geth with Quarians (in my ending at least, you might need the truce) etc, much like in the synth ending, just you didn't rob anyones free will to do it.

So much of the game was just mistreated, mishandled, its bloody ridiculous. Starting with the star fool that is such a plot black hole that he could end mass effect in the first 30 minutes of ME1 and not even need Saren. And then the silly colors, you tellin me that synthesis tells everyone and everything apart down to some sort of molecular level, so it then can change them all into hybrids, but on Destroy, the same device can't tell a reaper from a geth, and i have to wipe out ALL of them? what the f...

i hear your laments, but that was like only .05% of the entire trilogy. except for that .05%, the rest of the trilogy is pure solid gold.

its pretty bad that the device cant tell between reapers/geth etc but the crucible that was completed was the very first one to actually be completed and implemented. so it was probably pretty primitive in capabilites.

Im only sour about it because i wanted it over with a bang. And to be given closure.

I wanted to see the Rachni Queen (or the rachni) join me in battle, taking down a reaper perhaps (much like we saw the Thresher Maw do it, in epic fashion), i wanted to see the Krogan, Turians, Salarian, Asari, instead, non of what i did across the 3 games was taken into account.

Not only that, but we get no clue about their future, at least dragon age origins had that text at the end saying where each of them went and what happened. Couldn't have been too hard to write something and slap it on there i think, they didn't even care to do that much.

Instead we have fans putting out work thats better than theirs.

yeah, i also had those same thoughts as well. the game should have ended like the second one did, but on a bigger more epic scale.

And have you ever heard about MEHEM aka the happy ending? looks brilliant.

Might have to rethink replaying once more now. That low EMS now is incredible, Bioware should take notes from this guy.

yeah MEHEM is actually a pretty good way to end the game. its still not amazing but its somewhat satisfying. the EMS was such BS. even with a perfect run with everything but omega, i still fall short like 500 points. i never understood why they chose to go with such a grindy route instead of a system like me2's. where your investment in the game and the characters determined your outcome not the amount of grinding youre willing to do...

sigh. me2 is such an amazing experience, the art direction in that game was so great. it kind of reminded me of blade runner in a lot of parts, with the color and layout.

Amazing would need a complete rewrite from the point you even set foot in London. Theres so much wrong there, its worse than the Reaper threat.

Im happy with these small(er) changes, i'll take what i can get. In a way i guess thank you, since if you weren't bringing up mods in this thread, i simply wouldn't be looking for them, assuming they just werent out there.

yea i just try not to think about the problems. its like with anything if you look at it close enough youll find issues and end up hating it

Agreed with EMS, i mean, YES, im glad someone understands what it actually represents and how hard it pulls down the game. But high EMS endings only requires 3100 points, you sure you cant get there? i got 4200 in this last trilogy play (8400 effective, no multiplayer).

Well, you answered your own question, I got just over 3100 on my first run, but I didn't do everything on ME1, but on 2 and 3 I did eveything, scaned all planets, completed all side quests (Full Paragon), and got the best ending.
