Mass Effect 2 (2010)

Out of curiosity on squad members speaking
What decides it? For instance I can't seem to get Legion to speak at the citadel security scanner when you go there for the first time. Is there an order of priority to who takes which line? Always bugged me about not being able to figure it out.

Edit: Got Legion to speak with Zaeed dispite him not talking when I took Morinth and Tali, with Legion being both the first and second squadmate picked for Morinth.

One of the biggest gripes I have with ME2 above ME1 is the lack of random comments from your squadmates. It's especially evident during loyalty missions where the other member doesn't utter a word, or at least very seldom. I get that it would take alot of resources, seeing as the ammount of members increased but still. ME2 is alot more about the combat than the immersion.

No, ME2 is more about the characters - just not squad interactions. There wouldn't be all of these Loyalty missions otherwise.

That's 10+ missions that are largely optional. I'd call that very immersive - just not in certain ways that we previously enjoyed (squad interactions).

ME3 brings back the squad interactions pretty nicely imo, while still having missions that almost-sorta feel like Loyalty missions (except they're embedded in the main storyline).
