I didn't download anything - when I bought ME2 (and it was on Steam), it came with the Cerberus key.
Now, they take servers offline whenever they believe they cost too much. Single player gaming without a tether is eroding slowly.
And if we accept the leash, they can cut the content loose at any time and leave us with... a collar, suitable for another leash I guess. Anyway I have lots of games that at least work if I type in the CD key--or just work anyway without that sort of validation.
too bad the internet business model treats most users poorly--but then actually now that I think about it, nowadays we are the product. I guess they can't treat us like people if we're revenue streams.

I know the nexusmods .dll file can correct this issue, but I am hoping that EA's own site has the means for resolving this situation amically, being a Paragon with only minor renegade tendancies and all that.
Correction: You need to login with your Origin login (not Cerberus) to activate the DLC. I THINK if you buy the DLC through Origin in works. I'm not sure. I bought the DLC back in the day with my BioWare account, which got merged with the Origin account.
Thanks a lot. This seems to have worked for me as well.
