Problems with save games?!

Hi folks, I own ME 2, 3 and Andromeda on Origins but somehow EA doesn't wanna help with the problem that both games ME2 and ME3 can't save the progress and you play hours for nothing. Also the purchased DLC of ME3 are not available cause you have to log in into a network that doesn't exists in the homescreen ...

Anyway, my question is - do you guys have any problems with save games here on steam? Cause if not, I would buy it again - well at least ME2 - to play and SAVE my progress.

Well it worked just fine for me until I got to end of kasumi quest and it caused black screen, after that all my save games says "unknown area" and they won't load anymore.

Ok. I got it working again. Problem is that when you save game on your DLC missions, those save game wont work anymore from start menu, you have to load old save before DLC mission and when you load that save game, you can load dlc saves again from that gameplay.

For blackscreen, you have to launch game with -nomoviestartup , or it will blackscreen every time after the mission.

Really lame that I must do all this just to get to play this game, considering that it's old game and they had years time to fix all this crap.

Shadow broker ship still seems to crash the game, I tried to turn off vsync but didn't help.

It seems like it wasn't enough that I disabled vsync from my gpu application settings. I had to go Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\
and edit DefaultEngine.ini

ForceFullVSync=False
UseVsync=False

After that shadowbroker didn't crash anymore.

I have the a similar problem: I've played for about 8h in one sitting, autosave was enabled & I manually saved the game before quitting. Now I can not find the saves. The game doesn"t even give me the option "resume", it only lets me start a new playthrough. I've started again, just up until I was able to manually save. Quit the game, restarted immediately to check for saves; once again only able to click "new game". Would love to get a fix! Cheers

My solution, which wasn't the best one, but it worked was that I created a new Windows user on my PC and played via that account - it worked. Don't ask me why.
