Anyone familiar with "awc.dll failed to load" message?
So of course my game won't launch even though it was fine the day before.

Was with EA support for almost an hour but of course they were pretty much usless giving me all the fixes I already tried

*check driver update
* check vcredist

but I appeased them anyway. Then came the reboot pc part and of course that ended that discussion. So I really don't see a point in re-contacting them. So here I am.

So I actually got this same error today, as I was trying to get all the dlc for the game up and running. After getting this error I verified the game file integrity under local files and it was able to fix the issue and get the game running. I would try and see.

I got it running but forgot what I did. One of the first things I usually do is verify integrity of game files so I don't think it was that but thnx.

I got this same issue. Here's a link to a ea forums discussion and several ways it could be fixed. Most common issue was the way that the game tries to launch. good luck! https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mass-Effect-2/Mass-Effect-2-AWC-DLL-Load-Fail/td-p/1311170

What worked for me was launching the game directly from the ME2Game.exe located in the Binaries folder of the mass effect 2 directory
