Sprinting and Turning on PC

I have been playing this game for over a month and like it. I would like it a lot more if the controls didn't suck so much. Putting 3 functions into one key is awful enough, but I cannot turn while sprinting.

With every other game I've ever played, you can run and turn at the same time.
Not with this game. You can only run in one direction, then let go of sprint, turn, and run again another way. I have never seen anything like it, and it blows. Am I missing something here?

I played the original way back when, but overall I'm new to the franchise. I must agree, it's absolutely maddening and I don't understand why they would do this in development. For me, the 3 functions on one key is ultimately stupid.

Fortunately everything else seems great and I can just suck it up and enjoy the game. I have thought of starting over on the easiest difficulty though. I mainly want the story and don't want to feel cheated later on because of this crap design. I'm on veteran for now.

i'm more interested why changing infinite ammo with capacity to overheat if shoot constantly (mods make trulythe infinite barrage of fire) to thermal clips...and back on ME1 Techs could overheat ur weapon for about 10-20 secs...

just giving some extra 10 cents

There's a way to split off the functionality by editing Coalesced.ini using a program called "ME2 Coalesced Editor".

I don't do that, since I play Infiltrator and thus only do long-distance plinking and cloaked roaming, but the necessary changes IIRC are documented in the Mass Effect wikia.
