Instructions To Fix Mouse Sensitivity in Mass Effect 2
I found this topic annoying to find correct answers for and noticed many people playing the game on windows 8 and 10 asking for solutions. Please pin this discussion if you can. Instructions are for steam version.

If you follow these directions exactly how they are written you will fix your game and be able to play it again without the annoying camera sensitivity in like 3-5 minutes.

Step 1 Download the program "Notepad ++" URL: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

***IMPORTANT*** Do not open your file in anything but this program or you will corrupt your game.

Step 2 Install and Open Notepad++

Step 3 select FILE > OPEN

Navigate to the file named "Coalesced"

Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked

choose file: Coalesced

***NON-STEAM VERSION USERS***

This file is named the same but will be in another location do a search to locate it and then right click the file and select OPEN WITH > NOTEPAD ++

Once complete you will see the config file information opened in the Notepad ++ program.

Step 4 Locate the parameter "Mouse Sensitivity"

If you familiar with FIND or Control + F use that to locate the parameter

ex. press [Control] + [F] keys and type Mouse Sensitivity in the box click FIND

Step 5 Change the value for Mouse Sensitivity ( I used 0.3 )

The Mouse Sensitivity default setting is 1.0

Adjusting the setting to lower than 1.0 lowers the sensitivity

***IMPORTANT*** You must use the same format #.#

1.0
0.9
0.8

Do not Deviate

Example : If you want to reduce the sensitivity by half you must change the value for Muse Sensitivity from 1.0 to 0.5 and save (Do not use .5 or .50 or 0.50 etc this will crash your game you must use the format #.# and not deviate)

My Setup

Logitech G500

Poll Rate = 500
DPI = 500
OS settings = MarkC Mouse settings for Windows 10
Mass Effect Mouse Sensitivity value in config file = 0.3
Camera Sensitivity in game option = Low

I would say set it to 0.3 and adjust with your DPI settings for fine tuning. 500-1100 felt the best for me.

Dont forget to install the ALOT mod from nexusmods.com for improved textures

(I adjusted my setting after installing ALOT)
