Lair of shadow broker blackscreening

I don't have this game on Steam but on Origin because EA Support in their wisdom managed to do something and my disk version and dlc won't work so had to purchase game all over again and all the dlc. Now the problem is my Lair of shadow broker keeps blackscreening just as Liara jumps onto the car.

I spent all day on Google trying every fix under the sun and nothing has worked. It is still going black. I tried windowed mode, 800 x 600 resolution, lowest graphic settings, turn vsync off, repair game, make shortcut of ME2Game and add nostartupmovie or whatever it is called. I also tried deleting the cache of Origin. EA Support is now ignoring me. I also now tried Nvidia's latest driver. I have a GTX1070 card. The game doesn't say crashed but the screen goes black and only music plays. I tried this dlc 4 times and each time the same thing happens at the end.

I can't refund because I had the Origin version too long. The movie fix must be working because I can finish Kasumi fine and the intro movies don't play. I did see another guy had same issue and his fix was change companion but that didn't work for me. Can anyone help?

I remember fixing it by changing companions too. If I'm not mistaken there are multiple companions that cause the bug. Don't take my word on it, but I think Garrus is one of the problematic ones. Maybe you just switched the wrong companions. Let me know if you manage to fix it, I'm trying to replay the game myself.

BTW I just managed to make it work by bringing samara and kasumi along, then taking samara with me in the taxi.

Hi. I came right eventually but whole mission is rather buggy especially that ship.

I turned aa to 2, put windowed mode for 800 x 600, enabled the movie, chose Jack and holstered my weapon. One of them fixed it but no idea which one. Also disabled all options in the graphic settings and disabled vsync in the ini file of the game.

I beat the shadow broker in the end but had to keep reloading a save from Normandy to be able to load any of the Shadow broker save files. I suggest save a lot because it gets very buggy after the car crash. After you done the car crash enable the nomovie fix otherwise the last piece after beating the Shadow broker will crash.

This is interesting. Especially that I had to use third party fixes. Bioware doesnt care it seems.
