Horizon and Sidequests

I think I may have screwed things up, but I hope not.

I got all the starting teammates (plus Zaed and Kasumi), which caused Horizon to trigger.

My intent with this new playthrough was to do all possible sidequests (like N7 missions and the like) before the end (not after). However, I think I read that after Horizon, doing 5 "missions" will trigger the Collector ship, where if you waste time, crew start dying.

After Horizon, do the side quests, like N7 quests, count as those 5 "missions?"

I should have held off on the final starting teammate and done all the side quest N7s I could find, but I followed a poorly worded guide... I've done some, but not many, by this point.

The Collector ship doesn't start the timer. It's the story misson after that (recovering the IFF).

Complete Horizon, then do everything you want BEFORE you go after the Reaper IFF - recruiting remaining characters, loyalty missions, sidequests, DLC, etc..

You recruit one more on the IFF mission, but you can do the loyalty mission (talk to the new squad mate before hitting up the Galaxy Map), and you should be golden.

EDIT: Slight correction: Horizon --> Do 5 missions --> Collector Ship --> Unlimited time to do what you want --> Reaper IFF --> Final loyalty mission --> Finale.

Awesome thank you. So it's Reaper IFF that is the hard point of no return, but I can do as much as I want before it, AFTER collector ship.

Also don't worry about spoilers. I played this through years ago. I know all about Legion ;)

Sure thing! Force of habit always makes me be vague.

To answer your other question, ANY five missions you do (where you get the Illusive Man summary) counts as one of the 5. So you could do Loyalty and sidequests missions and not recruit Tali, Thane, or Samara, and get sent to the Collector ship.

still like "Fakade" said...before the FFS (After you were first time on the collector ship!, then the FFS mission appears, you can say you "dont wanna rush"), do all missions you want and can (loyality). if you want everybody to survive: do all loyality missions and upgrade the normady completely. and Legion: just go right to his loyality mission after you found him. thats it. ^^ oh and of course....Miranda and Jack with their quarrel? I hope you got a blue/red answer back then. And Zaeed, too. Good luck!

Yeah I got it all figured out now lol. For some reason I was concerned about kidnapped crew that hasn't and won't happen yet.

It's why I normally hit every last side mission before I finish recruiting the original four dossiers and trigger Horizon. I think it was one of those things I went in blind for and used the guide as far as keeping my crew alive... I still need to do my tragic Shepard playthrough- normally the only teammate I let die on purpose is Jacob.

the IFF is not the hard point of no return you can do up to 2 missions after getting the IFF. also just a tip save tali's loyalty mission for last so you can take legion with you. so do everything then do the IFF then do talis loyalty mission with legion in your squad, then legions loyalty mission, then omega 4 relay. i hear there is some juicy dialogue if you take legion with you on talis loyalty mission

There is some fun dialogue in that situation, but the IFF is still the point where you're on a timer. Do too much after that mission, and your crew starts dying.

Question: I've found Zaed but not Kazumi. I've hear a message on illium talking of a thief called Kasumi (must be her) but i don't know where she is. Can someone help ?

As far as i remember, you get a message on the normandy you'll have to read and after that, you'll get in contact on the citadel via one of those advertisement thingys.

It's basically immediately upon arrive on th Citadel. Like literally right where you start.
