Steam launching Origin ...
Hiya all..

So, ive got ME1 and 2 on both Origin and Steam, i have ME3 on Origin alone..

Ive been replaying ME1 and 2 through Steam the last few days without issue.

I have been playing today up till now, without issue.

I quit playing ME2 about half an hour ago, notice Origin has opened asking for me to accept some Terms and what not... so i check and its wanting to verify ME2 for some reason...

I then use Origin to get the DLC's and jazz that i am able to get (items for the Deluxe Ed, free things, etc..)

Now.. whenever i try to load ME2 from Steam, Origin opens. Steam shows that im playing ME2 and yet i can open the Steam Overlay within Origin ... Now ME2 wont run at all. I try to run it through Origin as well and .. nothing...

WAT HAVE I DONE?! :KSad:

It sounds like you've messed up. You can't get DLC from Origin for a game you own on Steam.

"This is not how this works. This is not how any of this works."

Your Origin account has some of the DLC associated with your account. Your Steam account doesn't have that same DLC. So you have a situation wher-

Actually... a shorter explanation is all you want right? (And a way to fix it too.) So let me just get to the point.

You've installed the same game, on the same computer, twice. This has likely caused big conflicts in your registry. After adding the DLC, your OS can't handle it any longer.

Your best bet is to uninstall the game through both services. Be sure to back up your saves, first! Restart your computer. Finally, delete the game folders just to be sure.

Now reinstall through only one service. If you want the free DLC from Origin, I suggest installing through them.
